I'm a graduate of Dallas Baptist University where I got my Bachelors of Science in Sports Management in 2012 and I have recently gone back to DBU to pursue my Masters as well. Since 2012, I have been tutoring students in Garland ISD from seventh graders to seniors in the AVID program, where we use the Socratic Method to tutor. I normally tutor math and science subjects but my favorite subject to tutor is geometry. To me, geometry is exciting and so much fun which I hope to transfer that same excitement to my all students about math. Outside of tutoring students, I am always on the volleyball court. Whether I am coaching or playing, that is where I love to be.

I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies, and where I focussed on biblical studies and history, as I was able. Since graduation, I have worked in education for a few years at a small, North Texas private school. I have had the opportunity to teach all levels of high school across several disciplines. My passion is in biblical studies, as I currently serve as a Pastoral Resident in Central Texas; but I also have a passion for history, as I am a trained AP teacher. I love to see my students grow both academically and personally as I teach them. I also believe that it is vital for parents to be involved, as much as possible, in their student's education for the benefit of their family unit and for their student's success. Outside of the classroom, I love a good book and an even better cup of coffee.

I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a degree in English and History and a minor in Spanish. I tutored universitiy international students on the basics in English. I stayed on and finished my Elementary Education certification for K-8. I have a Master's from University of Texas at Arlington where I focused on teaching students with spoke a different language than English, teaching reading, and teaching Gifted and Talented Students. I graduated from University of North Texas with a school librarian certification from Prek-12. I tutored before teaching in a Kindergarten classroom. I have tutored students for the STAAR which is the state test for Texas and I have tutored first and second grade students who were a year behind in reading at the beginning of the year and were on grade level at the end of the year. My passion is teaching and watching students grow. I really enjoy tutoring younger kids with phonics and reading. I like to proctor exams for older students as I have proctored the STAAR test for elementary and junior high.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas and a Master in Education Administration from Dallas Baptist University. While I have just recently retired from a 28-year career in education, I am still passionate about helping students achieve their personal best. I believe that all students can learn; They just may not be able to master concepts on the same day and in the same way as their peers. As a tutor, I get the distinct privilege of figuring out what is causing the student to struggle and support the child in overcoming the challenge. My goal is for the student to not only master content but to learn effective strategies that can be employed in new learning situations as well as build the self-confidence needed to be an independent learner.

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Ecology. I also attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated with a degree in Educational Leadership. I have taught may science subjects including 5th grade, 7th grade, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and AP Environmental Science. Additionally, I have taught elementary gifted and talented and helped prepare high school students for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT while serving as the Advanced Academic Coordinator. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we create breakthrough moments that help us both become better teachers and learners.. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my life, yoga, running, working in the yard, and spending time with my family.

Hello! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in History in May 2022. I have taken courses including Zoology, Cell Biology, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, etc. I plan on going back to school to earn a master's in public health in the coming future. I am an associate member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society.
