I have received top grades in all my high school and college math courses, and have experience tutoring through National Honors Society, as well as tutoring friends and their younger siblings outside of school. I happily work to students' specific needs, whether that means providing a lesson overview, working step-by-step through practice problems, or more specific requests. In any case, I do my best to make sure that students actually achieve understanding, and do not simply memorize techniques to get to a solution. Problems can be useful to practice applying skills, but I want to make sure that my students understand why they are doing these problems, which will be especially helpful if they continue on to higher level subjects.
