My name is Simar Goyal and I am going to be a Junior at Baylor University. I am a University Scholars major with concentrations in biology, medical humanities, and public health. I was a National Merit Finalist with my PSAT scores and scored in high percentiles for all standardized tests.I have tutored various grades from elementary school to high school. In college, I have also taken a pedagogy class, which taught me the science and art of teaching. With the experience of that class, I was able to become a learning assistant in different biology classes. I aim to not only raise your child's grades but also foster characteristics of an independent learner to ensure their future success.

Learning is one of the best things a person can do. But, there is nothing worse than sitting in class feeling like you are the only one that does not understand- trust me, I have been there. With that being said, I would love to be a part of the educational process that leads to the cultivation of new found understanding that restores the confidence you need to succeed. I believe I have the right tools to help you get there.

Have you lost that loving feeling for your studies? Well stop your worrying, I'm here to help steer you out of the danger zone and get you navigating on your own. After graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology I'm looking to share my love for knowledge. You shouldn't worry however contagious it may be. I believe my enthusiasm for Science, History, and Math shines and with this light I will illuminate each topic in a way that works best for you. My experiences working with high-school students over two summers through NSLC, tutoring grade school students at an after-school program for a year, as well as a lifetime of tutoring my younger brother have all well acquainted me with a broad age range of learning techniques and materials. Honorable mentions to note a few would be leading cow eye dissections, sheep heart dissections, and pig skin stitching activity, start and ran a branch of MedLife organization at Baylor, and a very in depth 3 week internship at a hospital in Portugal. Like Mary Poppins showed the children to love cleaning, I too have an endless bag, but it is filled with tips and tools to love learning and I will not leave until the job is done and the student is successful. Learning to better appreciate knowledge will immediately enhance your comprehension of it.

A teacher's role is to impart knowledge, however along the way it gets lost in translation. I want to be that translator, to fill in those missing gaps so that everyone is not hindered in any way. My childhood overseas meant that I started out with a traditional Chinese education, before switching to the British curriculum and then finally ending in American. I often tutored my peers and others younger than me at all stages, proving that I can adjust to multiple teaching styles and approaches. I have a deep passion for the sciences, and I hope that you will come to know and share my love for them through learning and understanding.

While I love to tutor math as well as science, I am most qualified and most passionate about tutoring chemistry (as if has a little of both math and science). I am a firm believer that every deserves and needs education. I also believe that you continue to learn and educate yourself throughout your life. The learning process never ends and hopefully I can convey this to my students so that they can appreciate the process. In my spare time, I enjoy reading a variety of genres, walking, gaming and of course sleeping. Also, I love to watch tennis during the grand slams.
As a former public school educator and current 4th year medical student, I thoroughly enjoy both the practices of mentoring students and helping them succeed in their studies. My specific interests lie mainly in the field of science, however I also enjoy math and test prep tutoring. Because I care deeply about education, I have the ability to both recognize the struggles and concerns that students have with certain subjects and the ability to push them towards new levels of understanding and confidence. Learning starts by identifying specific misconceptions or weak skills sets that students possess, and as a teacher, these are strengths that I have been able to develop.
I have graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Chemistry and often helped other students with subjects that were easy for me. I know it can be frustrating for students so helping them understand their subjects and gain confidence is what makes me like to tutor. I have also been a volunteer mentor/tutor here in Atlanta since I graduated college and look forward to helping more students. When I tutor, I am careful not to do the work for the student, I help fix problem areas and guide the student to the right answer. Learning can be difficult but I want to take the frustration out of learning.

I love science and believe that understanding this subject is key to success in school and life. When working with students struggling in this area, I like to help them connect with the concepts through real life application and then break down the main points to increase understanding rather than memorization. My goal is to help learners build their science foundation one lesson at a time so they will get to a point where science just makes sense!
"In her classroom our speculations ranged the world. She breathed curiosity into us so that each day we came with new questions, new ideas, cupped and shielded in our hands like captured fireflies. When she left us, we were sad; but the light did not go out. She had written her indelible signature on our minds. I have had lots of teachers who taught me soon forgotten things; but only a few who created in me a new energy, a new direction. I suppose I am the unwritten manuscript of such a person. What deathless power lies in the hands of such a teacher." John SteinbeckI chose teaching as a profession for all of those reasons. I want to share my love of the social sciences with the students and perhaps inspire them to pursue careers in that wide discipline. I want to leave my job each day with the knowledge that I have done something good. But more than anything else, I want to motivate my students to always chase after knowledge.
I enjoy learning and wish to share that with others.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University and I am a first year medical student and the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. I have experience tutoring math and science at all levels from 3rd grade through college. Teaching middle school and high school math and science is a passion of mine and helping you reach your educational goals will be my joy and privilege. Algebra 1 is my favorite subject to tutor, followed closely by Algebra 2 and high school level Chemistry. My clients can expect a lot of practice problems and drills when working with me because it's my philosophy that there's only a certain amount that you can learn through rote memorization. Discovering what you don't know, mastering it, and being able to apply what you know is what gives rise to more complete understanding and ultimately what scores points on tests. In my free time I enjoy watching and playing baseball, mountain biking, camping, lifting weights, and teaching my dog Calvin tricks.

Hello there, I am here to serve and provide help any way I can. I enjoy working with people and finding common solutions that are relatable and fun. My biggest attribute may be that I want to listen first and am open-minded to creative solutions. Furthermore, Chess is a big hobby of mine used as a de-stresser. I've been playing since 3 years old and primarily enjoy teaching this to family and friends. It's not surprising that my primary teachings in this platform are Microsoft Excel (which I use daily), and Chess (my other superpower).
Hi! My name is Gabrielle (Gabe), and I'm a Biology tutor with a deep love for helping students connect with science in meaningful ways. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a second Master's degree in Biology. I've taught everything from middle and high school biology, including AP Biology, to college-level Anatomy and Physiology. My goal as a tutor is to make science engaging, clear, and memorable. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorize facts, building their confidence to recall terms, explain ideas, and see how biology connects to the world around them.
I am currently a senior at Baylor University working towards a degree in health science studies, with a focus in pre-medicine. I am very passionate about the sciences and enjoy tutoring biology, physiology, and anatomy.I am passionate about tutoring because I feel that every student should be able to have access to adequate assistance outside of school. With an increasingly full public school system today in need of some serious reform, I believe that personal and in-group tutoring as supplemental instruction are crucial to allowing students to receive the personalized attention they need for success. Getting help outside of school is one of the first steps to being proactive in a student's academic journey, and improvement as well as new enthusiasm upon gained understanding early on in the academic journey can open doors of opportunity not only to universities and graduate programs, but also inside the mind of the student as growth and steady work ethic can be inspired by a positive learning experience. As a tutor, one has a direct impact on the educational experience of a student, and a positive one can empower and enable students to get help where they need it, as well as the confidence and positive foresight to continue on in time of difficulty. In light of this, I will try my best to make sure that every student I encounter gains an opportunity to have such a positive experience. By providing the right motivation to succeed, and applying materials learned to the real world, I hope to instill in students inspiration to gain knowledge not only for academic success, but to gain insight on the way the world functions around them. Knowledge truly is power, and being a tutor is the perfect way I can spread this power in the ways I can.
I am a patient tutor who believes that knowledge is power. Making sure that my students learn in the best way that they can is very important to me, so I make it my personal mission to ensure that the student truly learns the material and is able to problem solve on their own. There is always more than one way to explain a problem, so if the student does not understand in one way, I make sure to implement other methods to teach them so that they can understand to the best of their ability. There is no stupid question except the one that is not asked.I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Minor in English from Baylor University. I am currently a Doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at Widener University. I have worked previously mostly with children between ages of 6 and 13 but I am comfortable working with students of all ages. I tutor in almost all subjects, but my favorites are Math, English, Psychology and Study and Organizational skills. Outside of tutoring, I like to write (mostly poetry), read, play all sports and do crafts. I love animals and have two dogs of my own.I am the kind of tutor who believes in the success of all students. No child left behind is truly my philosophy. I implement fun tactics during tutoring sessions to help keep my students engaged but make sure to retain a respectable demeanor at the same time.
