Late in the winter of 2003, I left Baylor University for Spain, where I would spend the next semester studying. When I arrived in Madrid, I was unfamiliar with the city and had to rush to catch the bus that would take me to my university, several hours to the north. Confused, tired and not at all proficient in Spanish, I chose the incorrect station. A kind cab driver, noticing my confusion, insisted he accompany me to find my bus. When it was obvious that I had chosen the wrong station, he took me to the correct station and again accompanied me inside to ensure I found my bus. Over the next four months, I repeatedly encountered such kindness and support from the university and community. These advantages helped improve my fluency rapidly and fostered an interest in linguistics and language, enriching my stay with cultural experiences I would not have otherwise had.I moved on from undergraduate study to a Master of Arts in Publishing and Writing at Emerson College, shifting my focus to design and visual interpretation. As both a student and a tutor, I know how overwhelming school and exams can feel, so I focus on breaking concepts down into clear, manageable steps and creating a supportive, judgmentfree space where students can ask questions and build confidence. I am especially interested in tutoring any and all sciences and math in most K-12 subjects, college, and even medical school such as physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, cardiology, respiratory, G.I, endocrine, and renal systems. I enjoy helping students move from "I don't get this" to "I can do this" through practice, encouragement, and personalized strategies. My goal in every session is not only to improve grades and test scores, but also to help students feel more capable, independent, and excited about learning.

I am a current student at Baylor University working towards obtaining a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. Ever since my early high school years, I have had a knack for and a passion to help others learn. I began as a freshman in high school, by teaching ESL classes to students as young as first grade, to adults in their thirties and forties. In college, I began taking on the challenge of tutoring student athletes. Currently, I am involved in a volunteer program where I am tutoring and mentoring middle and high school students in the Waco area. I have always loved the challenge of helping a student overcome their obstacles, and have enjoyed seeing former students currently thrive in and enjoy the subjects in which they struggled the most.

I am a graduate of Baylor University for both undergraduate and graduate degrees. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration focused in management and a Master of Business Administration specialized in Healthcare Administration. Although my degrees are both in business, my educational background is broad spanning from biology to corporate communication to business. My passion is in healthcare, so I am interested in all subjects affecting healthcare in general. My experience with tutoring started in high school working with fellow classmates and most recently has been with student athletes at Baylor University. I love working with all levels of students, and feel I connect well and adapt well to many types of personalities. During my free time I love to be active, especially outside. I also like to travel and spend time with family and friends.

I'm an optometry grad student with a passion for STEM, language, music, and creative writing. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Baylor University, along with a Spanish minor and an undergraduate honors thesis.I've been a university TA for literature and screenwriting and have tutored everything from 1st grade math to college human physiology. AP Biology and AP Chemistry hold a special place in my heart because they led me to biochemistry, but Spanish is my favorite subject to teach! Language, literature, and writing are my favorite subjects to study, and I always find myself coming back to learn more.It's a joy to empower others to enjoy learning, and I look forward to helping you down the road to success!

My background with the National Society of Black Engineers and as an AP Scholar with Distinction helps me mentor students through advanced STEM pathways. I blend analytical thinking with empathy to cultivate academic curiosity and equip students for quantitative success.

I would make a good tutor because I have been a teacher of elementary students for 14 years and I know what is takes to help students learn things on their level. I walk students through the problems and help them pick apart what the questions are asking. I also help students with the process of elimination and understanding each answer. I am patient and look forward to working with your student.

I believe that each student can be a blend of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Just as no human being has an identical fingerprint, a student may have diverse learning needs. My lessons and online learning activities will help students to master core objectives in grammar, math, social science, and other subjects. I enjoy teaching! I have graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Chemistry and often helped other students with subjects that were easy for me. I know it can be frustrating for students so helping them understand their subjects and gain confidence is what makes me like to tutor. I have also been a volunteer mentor/tutor here in Atlanta since I graduated college and look forward to helping more students. When I tutor, I am careful not to do the work for the student, I help fix problem areas and guide the student to the right answer. Learning can be difficult but I want to take the frustration out of learning.

I am currently a senior at Baylor University studying Medical Anthropology and Biology. After graduation, I plan to pursue graduate work in public health. I've worked for the past two years on campus as an undergraduate tutor, mainly focusing on biology, chemistry, and English. I also enjoy tutoring for ACT and SAT preparation and believe anyone can succeed on these exams with the right strategies and preparation. I am also a certified ESL instructor and teach a local adult course. Additionally, I speak Spanish at an intermediate level.
