To me, the most important part of teaching and tutoring is to reach each student at his/her academic level and to help him/her understand concepts in a particular content area using strategies involving his/her individual learning style.

I'm currently a second-year student at Columbia University studying Biochemistry. In my free time, I enjoy writing for my school's magazine, The Eye, and doing diabetes research at the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center.
