History Tutoring review by Peter in Tampa, FL
We reviewed the student's most recent review packet, which is due for homework. The final 45 minutes we worked on online quizzes to prepare him for his assessment test.

History Tutoring review by Louis in Tampa, FL
The student and I continued to work on the assignment that I gave him. He wrote an introduction and the first section of his paper, so we went through and discussed the strengths and weaknesses. He organized his writing very well, but needed some help with making the ideas flow and filling in the arguments with details. He also needs some more content knowledge to fill in the gaps. He will continue to write with the help of a textbook I lent him.

History Tutoring review by Chandler in Tampa, FL
The student is about to begin a unit on the beginning of the twentieth century - it will focus on discrimination, urbanization, and immigration - but he hasn't covered much in class yet. So I gave him a brief primer on most of the material and pulled up tons of pictures online to give him some context for what he's about to learn. I think he likes seeing photos from the time period he's studying and it probably makes the material seem far less dull.

From the Battle of Yorktown to the Articles of Confederation - We discussed things like inflation and currency following the War, benefits and detriments of the Articles, and what the federal government looks like now by contrast. I gave her a timeline quiz I drew up and she completed an essay response for homework. Her most recent quiz score was 12 points out of 10.

History Tutoring review by Kenneth in Tampa, FL
Today's session was a very good and positive one. Last week the student had exams and on his geometry test he scored an A and on his global history test he scored a B+. This is tremendous improvement over where his scores were before we began working together. Tonight we finished up his geometry homework and then took a look at his research paper information. We went over his thesis and broke it down into the parts that will make up the information he must gather to prove his thesis.

History Tutoring review by Lindsey in Tampa, FL
The student had two thesis statements written. I reviewed them with her, helping her to edit for grammar and structure. She completed the rest of the thesis statements. She has shown great progress already in writing her thesis statements more clearly and answering the question more directly. We also discussed some organization ideas, such as using binders rather than folders.
