Fen made all the difference. My son who was panic stricken in preparing for an extremely difficult economics final was able to pass the course and graduate from NYU. Fen was not only incrdeiblly knowledgeable but was also an amazing tutor. Patient and able to find ways to help Ben commit the vast amount of information to memory. Varsity was wonderful in every way and we appreciate having had them to turn to.

Worked on Chapter 2. The student is doing a great job, really knows his stuff with contracts and the different methods to calculating income. Anything pension related he is great with, as well. He will continue to work on Chapter 2 and 3 questions.

The student and I spent the session reviewing problems related to bad debt expense and uncollectable accounts. Overall, I think the student came into our session a bit confused but left our session feeling much more confident about the topic. We may cover it again when we meet next time.

Economics Tutoring review by Shelby in Portland, OR
We spent the first 60 minutes of the session revisiting the issues we had last session and the next 30 minutes covering the basics of bond accounting and valuation. We made a LOT of progress on the problems we encountered last session with savings account accounting and journal entries. We didn't have much time to cover bonds, however we made a lot of progress there as well. We did a few basic problems regarding bond valuation, premium/discount amortization and interest expense in addition to discussing the nature of these securities. Very productive session.

During our session the student and I discussed another case that had been assigned by his professor. For this case, he and I had to read through portions of several credit agreements and determine if and how the default clauses in each agreement related to one another. The teacher posed various questions, and he and I discussed potential responses based on our interpretation of the language contained in the credit agreements.

Economics Tutoring review by Kevin in Portland, OR
Today, we reviewed problems that the student had questions on from his last exam. This is the first exam that he has taken since we began our sessions, and he seems to be doing well. In our session, we also briefly covered the different inventory methods used in accounting. However, he seemed to have a good grasp on the material and was well prepared for it prior to our session. I did leave him to finish the assignment we were working on, and I do not have any concerns.

The student and I worked on his Management Information Systems paper. As a retail store focusing on logistics and distribution centers, we looked at what impact the database's products would have on our company. We prepared a response to the functionality requirements and got through half of the response. We discussed how the database could help with Forecasting, Predictive Analytics, HR, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
