If you're a student or professional who is interested in GMAT prep, Varsity Tutors will be happy to set you up with a Cincinnati GMAT class geared towards helping you achieve impressive results on the exam. The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) carries a great deal of importance, as it is used to evaluate applicants to business schools. Both students and professionals can benefit from the academic assistance and the structured test review provided by a Cincinnati GMAT class.
A Cincinnati GMAT prep course is an excellent way to make sure that you're as prepared as possible when it comes time to take the exam. Conducted online in a virtual classroom, you will have the pleasure of collaborating with fellow classmates as you're taught by an instructor who is qualified in GMAT prep. At Varsity Tutors, we will use our resources to match you with a Cincinnati GMAT course instructor who can make sure to take extra time review the most difficult topics you will face on the exam.
Your final score on the GMAT can play a major factor in whether or not you're accepted to the MBA program of your choice. You could be applying to the University of Cincinnati - Lindner College of Business or Xavier University - Williams College of Business. Regardless of the school, a Cincinnati GMAT class can help you to perform your best on the exam. Throughout the four sections of the GMAT, you will have to answer questions that will be used to measure your business skills. This is your chance to shine for the admissions boards that will ultimately decide if you are accepted into their college or university.
What will be covered during the Cincinnati GMAT course?
There are four sections in the GMAT. These include Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and the Analytical Writing Assignment. There are both multiple choice questions and an essay question. Adding up the four sections, you have 3.5 hours total to complete the GMAT, but you can take advantage of the optional breaks offered in between sections. A Cincinnati GMAT course can boost your business skills and increase your confidence as test day approaches. The following is an in-depth breakdown of exam, including the types of questions and the layout of each section.
The Analytical Writing Assignment will challenge you to write an essay after reading and evaluating a written argument. You have 30 minutes to finish the essay. Your final score in this section will be based on your ability to organize your thoughts and support your thesis with several examples. The quality of your writing will be assessed as well, including your use of grammar and syntax. This section is scored on a range of 0-6.
On the Integrated Reasoning Section, you will have to evaluate different types of data presented in a variety of forms. You will be given 30 minutes to answer 12 questions, which will ask you to properly assess the data charts and graphs provided to you. Earning a high score in this section is an excellent way to showcase your problem solving skills to business schools.
The Quantitative Reason Section gives you 62 minutes to answer 31 multiple choice questions. The two subjects you will encounter in this section are data sufficiency and problem solving. The problem solving questions present you with five choices and ask you to use logical reasoning to find the correct answer. On the data sufficiency questions, you are provided with information and have to figure out if there's sufficient data to answer the question accurately.
The Verbal Reasoning Section gives you 65 minutes to answer 36 multiple choice questions. Throughout this sections, you will confront three types of questions: reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. For the reading comprehension questions, you will have to read a written passage which you will be asked questions about. You will also be presented with questions that are meant to evaluate your critical reasoning skills by challenging you to properly assess written arguments. The other questions in the section will show you sentences in which you must identify the grammar and syntax errors and then come up with an improved sentence.
