Varsity Tutors is here to help you study and prepare for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam. Are you a prospective securities industry professional studying at a school like the University of Potomac or BAU International University? If so, we are offering an online Washington DC SIE prep class. Passing the SIE is your first step to becoming a registered professional in the securities field. After passing the SIE, depending on which specific scope of work you're looking to get into, you may have another qualification test to take with a member firm to become registered.
The Securities Industry Essentials Exam is meant to be an assurance that an individual has the basics of securities knowledge to move forward with their career in the field. The test is hosted by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and is meant to be taken toward the beginning of your career in the field. You may be associated with a firm already, but it is not required to take the SIE.
We understand the importance that passing the SIE plays in your future career, this is why we are offering highly accessible online prep classes taught by an expert instructor. The Washington DC SIE class instructor can help you prepare to take the SIE. This test is held over one day, is comprised of 75 multiple choice questions, and requires 70% correct to pass. The prep class will help you with test-taking strategies and how to efficiently manage the 1.75 hours the test is held within.
What will a Washington DC SIE course cover?
Our test prep classes are taught in a state-of-the-art online learning environment. Students will be able to communicate with their peers and to the educator via webcam and microphone. Through these interactions, the students may go over material that might be on the test. The test covers a wide range of security-based topics. Perhaps the instructor will teach a lesson that refreshes the students on customer account registrations. The class may play memory games that focus on reportable events. Students will also have access to a virtual whiteboard where they can work through problems, take notes, and work collaboratively with the other students. It provides a great venue for written feedback on the student's progress with the material. If the student finds themselves needing extra time or more examples of questions on a certain topic, they can reach out to the instructor and request an online one-on-one meeting.
How can taking a Washington DC SIE class help me improve?
The instructors are very knowledgeable in the security industry as well as how to set test takers up to reach for their full potential. If enrolled in the class, you may discover what type of test taker you are and gain helpful strategies based on how you think. You may learn standard strategies for multiple-choice tests as well. These can look like learning how to identify key words within the question. This helps you narrow down the choices by eliminating the absolutely wrong ones. Another strategy your class may go over is how to manage your time per question. This may include practices like coming back to the questions that were not instantly clear to you, so you have more time for others. In addition to making sure the students are comfortable taking the SIE, we also like to make sure you are comfortable while learning in the Washington DC SIE course. For this reason, our online learning environment allows the students to work and learn wherever they feel fit. This could be studying at the DC Library or relaxing in a hammock in their backyard.
How can I sign up for a Washington DC SIE course?
We offer a rolling admissions model for our test prep online classes. This means that you can choose what day you would like to start the course on based on when your SIE test is being held. New classes start at the beginning of every month. Students have the option to choose a two-week or a four-week prep course to assure they get the refresher they feel they need. When enrolling, you can also choose the time of day that works best for you. This may be between classes, or after you get home for the day. If you are interested in joining a Washington DC SIE class, give Varsity Tutors a call today. You will be connected with an educational consultant who will help place you into the perfect online class for your unique schedule and testing needs.

I love helping students in topics related to math, to finance (public and private equity) and to engineering. I believe that if I can't explain concept, then I don't understand it. By that same token, if a student can't explain a concept back to me, then they don't understand it even if they say they do. I believe in getting to know all students, as their background is intricately connected with how they learn.
