We covered two pages of math worksheets. The first page was entirely multiples of 7, so I told him different ways to remember the exact numbers while reviewing each answer. The other page used images to ask what fraction of the image was shaded, so I made sure he knew in what order the fractions should be arranged

Trigonometry Tutoring review by Padraic in Fort Worth, TX
During our first session, the student and I mainly covered trigonometric identities and sinusoidal functions. The student had an old test and quiz as part of her materials, from which we looked at specific problems to go over. The majority of the problems gave an equation comprised of trig functions, and asked that the student use trig identities to simplify the equation as much as possible. The student knew her identities very well and understood each step of the process as we worked through the problems. We also worked on a word problem involving a sinusoidal function, as well as some graphing and identification of the components of a sinusoidal function, including the amplitude, phase shift, and x intercepts. Near the end of the session we ran out of old material to go over, so I provided some additional questions requiring simplification using trig identities, which the student worked through perfectly. Now that we've reviewed missed questions and concepts from past exams or quizzes, we plan on reviewing new material tomorrow for one of the student's upcoming quizzes.
