I am a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle PA where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. After that, I immediately obtained my MBA in International Business from the University of New Haven. While completing my final trimester of graduate school, I began teaching part-time as an adjunct lecturer in Spanish at the University of New Haven and taught one or two courses a semester until May 2014. I believe every student is different and that their learning path is personal. I work hard to make sure that my students are getting the most out of the tutoring sessions by ensuring the practice and learning sessions are meeting the style of learning best embraced by the student. In my spare time, I enjoy participating with my daughter's dance and swimming lessons as well as refereeing soccer matches at almost every level.

I am determined to help your student succeed! I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and experience tutoring in the areas of math, science, and test prep. I am qualified to tutor PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP, LSAT, and the GRE. I am extremely well-rounded and eager to help.
I spend my days doing my favorite things in the world: educating and learning from creative, inquisitive kids. I currently create mathematics curriculum for several local school districts, teach pre-kindergarten physical education classes, and run a cooperative education program in the Naugatuck Valley of Connecticut. My current goal is to step back into the classroom and teach in an elementary school.Over the years I have worked in a variety of areas in the field of education. I have worked in many different settings with children of all ages, abilities, interests and backgrounds. My journey started while I was interning in the Hamden Police Department, in an effort to engage the community into the workings of the police department, the detective I was working under and I created a citizens academy to teach community members about law, and the police department. While teaching classes at our newly established, my intern supervisor insisted I should look into teaching, and pointed me in the direction of an alternative education program that would merge my interest in the field of law and all things legal and my talents within the classroom atmosphere. While still in my undergraduate college, I gained employment as a Behavioral Interventionist for the Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) Alternative school. I have learned through this experience how to interact and connect with challenging students, how to engage in conversation with them and how to work on their language skills from a beginner to intermediate level. I so enjoyed engaging these challenged students that I solidified my decision to enroll in the graduate of education program at the University of New Haven.
As an EMT with 24 years of experience in the field of EMS and 15 years of experience as an Emergency Medical Services Instructor, I am able to bring both practical and academic sides to our experience together. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in National Security and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science.
I decided to pursue tutoring to help spread my love and understanding of science, specifically chemistry. I have had experience tutoring at the high school and undergraduate level in chemistry and math. I hope to continue strengthening my tutoring skills and help you succeed in your studies. I'm best able to help my students when they share lecture slides or practice problems they're struggling with.
I'm a Sathyabama University alum. Programming and Full Stack were the main areas of emphasis in my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. Since graduating, I've built a lot of online courses, coaching students from all over the globe through a no-fee program, helping adults who want to advance their computer skills (I'm a certified developer and teacher), and working with customers from across the world. I instruct a variety of disciplines, but Full Stack Web Development is my area of greatest interest. I've worked with difficult kids to help them prepare for standardized tests, and we always seem to make the greatest progress (and have the most fun) working on the Critical Reading and Coding sections of the tests. I strongly believe that education is essential for a higher quality of life, and I work hard to instill this belief in all of my pupils. In my free time, I like to read books that add value to my life and practice yoga, run, and create projects.
I am a senior at the University of New Haven working on a B.S. in Forensic Science-Biology with a Pre-Medical designation who hopes to go to medical school in the future. I am most passionate about biology and chemistry but have a strong personal interest in history, especially topics overlooked in the past study of history. To me, learning is a life long process and leads to the development of a well-rounded individual. Seeing understanding of a difficult topic and creating enthusiasm for learning is what draws me to tutoring.
I am a current paramedic student in university. I am a certified EMT and have a passion for helping people. I have experience tutoring as a writing center tutor (as I am a CRLA Level One certified tutor). While most of my tutoring experience is as a writing tutor, I have a passion for STEM and health-related classes, such as anatomy and physiology, biology, and EMT classes. I have experience tutoring upcoming EMRs and EMTs with the current national registry standards. My tutoring strategy is to make a better student, not just a better assignment. In my free time, I work as a volunteer firefighter/EMT and I have two dogs!

I'm a Data Science graduate from the University of New Haven with a strong passion for teaching and simplifying complex concepts. My background combines real-world experience in data analysis, AI workflows, and software development, which allows me to bring practical, industry-relevant knowledge into every session. I specialize in teaching Data Science, SQL, Python, and AI-assisted coding. My approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorizing solutions. I guide students through breaking down problems, thinking step-by-step, and building confidence in applying what they learn to real scenarios. I have experience working on AI and data projects involving data annotation, machine learning, and building applications using modern tools. This helps me teach not just theory, but also how these concepts are used in real jobs today. As a tutor, I adapt to each student's learning style. Whether you are a beginner starting from scratch or someone looking to strengthen advanced concepts, I create a structured and supportive learning environment. I focus on clarity, patience, and making learning interactive so students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas.
I pursued, what many would consider, a very non-traditional path following graduation from a high school for gifted students. My initial training was received while on active duty with the US Navy. There I learned to operate, maintain, and repair advanced electronic systems such as radio, radar, computers and cryptographic machines. Later during this period of my life, I went to school to learn Nuclear Power Plant Operation for nuclear submarines. While serving aboard various submarines, I took college courses through the University of Hawaii and the University of California. I also spent a great deal of time reading literary classics, as well as books on history, science, music and art. This reading allowed me to successfully complete the entire CLEP examination with scores in the top 10%.Following my discharge, I earned licenses and certifications from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as both an Operator and Senior Operator on several different types of nuclear units. Based on my previous work, training and college classes, I was awarded a Baccalaureate in Nuclear Engineering Technology in 1988 from Charter Oak College. l also attended college classes at the University of New Haven during this time, earning a Baccalaureate in Electrical Engineering in 1989 with a minor in Mathematics. I also have taken advanced graduate course in Business Administration and Regulatory Law as well as having successfully completed the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT exams.Starting in 1981, I provided training to selected individuals to prepare them for their Nuclear Regulatory Operator Examination. In this position, I delivered classroom and individualized instruction on math, physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, fluid flow and other technical areas related to nuclear power plant design, operation and control.I am currently tutoring in algebra, science, and math, which are my favorite subjects to tutor. I firmly believe that with guidance and a desire, every individual has the ability to overcome any hurdle they face.I enjoy working on home renovations, having won an award for the restoration of an 1840's Victorian. I also enjoy bicycling, snorkeling, scuba diving, and photography. But most of all, I enjoy spending time with family and friends over good food and wine in pleasant surroundings.
I have loved working with others since I was a little girl. My youthful energy, creative assignments and love for helping others makes me a fantastic choice for your tutor.I currently teach 5th grade and can't get enough of it! I am certified to teach kindergarten through 6th grade and have many credits in mathematics and special education. I attended Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY for my bachelors degree and then continued to the University of New Haven to earn my Masters in Education. Not only am I confident with content knowledge, but I am also proud of the rapport I have with students and my ability to help those that are struggling succeed. I love to see students that hated reading learn to love it. Additionally, I work hard to make those that find math difficult see the problems in a new way so that they do not feel overwhelmed. I enjoy music, hanging out with family and friends, cooking and being active. I look forward to working together to build a relationship that fosters a love for learning.
