Whether you are just starting out in your preparation for the GRE or you've already started, a Phoenix GRE course may help you work toward reaching for your full potential on the exam. The GRE is administered all over the world and is used by many colleges and universities as a part of the admissions process for their graduate programs. As such, if you are interested in attending graduate school at the University of Arizona, you may improve your chances of getting in if you perform well on the GRE. The test is computer-based in most parts of the world and you will have a total of 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete the exam.
The GRE is made up of three distinct sections. It can be challenging to prepare for such a comprehensive test because many students may be adept in one particular area, but could have trouble in another area. For example, a student may be proficient in English, but not be as talented in math. Working through a Phoenix GRE course can help students make strides in the subject areas they may be struggling in while shoring up the areas where they are already proficient.
What could a Phoenix GRE class help me review?
The GRE is made up of three different sections, including Analytical Writing, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. The Analytical Writing section is scored between 0 and 6 points and contains 2 questions. You will have 60 minutes to complete the section with an even split of 30 minutes per question. One of the questions in this section involves analyzing an issue while the other section involves analyzing an argument.
The Analytical Writing section of the GRE is designed to measure how well you're able to support ideas with examples and reasons. It also looks at how well you can articulate complex concepts and examine claims by using evidence. Finally, this section evaluates how well you're able to maintain a coherent point of view and your ability to write in English.
The Verbal Reasoning section consists of 40 questions and you will have 60 minutes to complete it. This section is graded between 130 and 170 points and involves three different types of questions. One of the types of questions involved is reading comprehension. These questions involve reading a passage and being able to demonstrate that you understand the passage by answering questions related to it. The passages involved may be as short as one paragraph or consist of several paragraphs. The section contains approximately 10 passages and you will be required to answer anywhere between 1 and 6 questions per passage.
The Verbal Reasoning section also includes sentence completion questions. These questions require you to read through short passages and decide on the best option to fill in the blank sections within the passage. This section also contains questions regarding sentence equivalence. These questions involve being able to take partial information contained within a sentence and choosing the best option for completing it.
The Verbal Reasoning section is designed to test your ability to understand individual words and sentences, your skills in terms of summarizing a passage, and your ability to analyze text and reach a conclusion. It also asks you to interpret meaning based on context and reach conclusions when you're given incomplete information.
The Quantitative Reasoning section contains 40 questions and you will receive 70 minutes to complete it. This section is also graded between 130 and 170 points, but it is designed to test your understanding of math concepts, your basic math skills, and your ability to problem solve by using logical reasoning. In terms of content areas, this section covers data analysis, geometry, algebra, and arithmetic. The question types in this section include numeric entry, multiple choice, and quantitative comparison questions.
How can a Phoenix GRE course help me prepare?
Preparing for the GRE can be challenging because of the large amount of topics you must cover. However, working with an instructor in a Phoenix GRE course can be helpful as you review test material. When you sign up for a Phoenix GRE course, you have the option of taking either a two or four week course, depending on your needs. The course takes place online, which can be helpful in terms of fitting it into your schedule. You won't have to worry about commuting to a classroom, either, because you can participate in your course anywhere you have a stable internet connection.
Our courses are designed to mimic a classroom setting in the sense that you'll be working with both an instructor and fellow students. This provides more opportunities to collaborate and discuss information rather than just listening to an individual instructor. However, despite the group format, you can also request time to work with your instructor on an individual level to ask more specific questions about any topics you may struggle to understand.
While reviewing material that may be on the exam is an essential part of preparing for the GRE, it can also be helpful to develop test-taking strategies. This might involve working on time management by taking practice tests. You will only have a limited amount of time per section, so you could benefit from familiarizing yourself with exactly how long you have to complete each section. This can help to ensure that you have enough time to answer all of the questions.
It could also be helpful to practice strategies you'll need on the Analytical Writing section. Some of the strategies you could learn about in a Phoenix GRE class include assessing the task and making sure you fully understand the directions, planning out your response, and checking over your essay for any errors or inconsistencies. Having the time to check over your work also requires the aforementioned time management skills, because if you do not manage your time well on the test, you won't have time to go back and check for any errors.

...was responsible for four lab sections of undergraduate engineering students. At the same time, I also performed robotics research in the Biomechatronics Lab under the direction of Dr. Veronica Santos. This research continued until her departure to UCLA. At this time, I am beginning work in the SpaceTREx laboratory and will be focused on space-oriented robotics. In my spare time I like to hike, rock climb, read, work on my novel, and build gadgets.... My teaching style can be best described as knowledge gap identification. I believe that the single most important thing for learning, after attitude, is identifying exactly what information has been miscommunicated. After this step, almost any person can learn any subject with enough patience.

...mathematical learning. I was a full time high school math teacher in Northern California for two years, but came to realise that I missed the individual attention that tutoring gives.
