If you're planning to take the GMAT soon, and you want assistance studying for it, consider enrolling in a Varsity Tutors Kansas City GMAT prep course. It's a program that lets you and other students prepare for the exam together. The Graduate Management Admission Test, or the GMAT, is an exam that business schools use as a screening device in the college entrance process.
A Kansas City GMAT course may be just the thing you need to assist you with preparing for your upcoming exam. All courses are online, and its sessions are directed by a highly-skilled teacher. These GMAT prep courses familiarize you with the test's overall structure.
If your goal is to go to schools like the University of Missouri-Kansas City-Bloch School of Management or Rockhurst University, you would have to do well on the GMAT. The exam measures scholastic skills that you would need when attending the business program of your choice, so it's imperative to know what to expect on it.
What could a Kansas City GMAT course help me review?
The GMAT consists of four subjects: Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and the Analytical Writing Assessment. This computer-adaptive test is recognized by several business schools worldwide, and you can take it on any day of the year except holidays. In order to be eligible for the exam, you have to be a college graduate and possess proficiency in the English language. You also have to be at least 18 years old, even though minors can take it with a parent's or guardian's permission. You can take the exam up to eight times in your lifetime if necessary. The score you receive on the exam is valid for five years, so it's highly recommended that you enroll in a Kansas City GMAT class. Go ahead and read more about each subject.
On the Integrated Reasoning section, you have to answer 12 questions that cover table analysis, multi-source reasoning, graphics interpretation, and two-part analysis. It's worth 1 to 8 points, and you have half an hour to complete it. You can use a calculator offered by the test center to assist you with answering questions.
There are two question types in the Quantitative Reasoning section: data sufficiency and problem-solving. Altogether, this section has 31 questions. It's worth 0 to 60 points, and you have 62 minutes to answer them. While you can't use a calculator for this section, you can use writing utensils and scratch paper that the test center provides.
Three types of questions make up the Verbal Reasoning section: sentence correction, reading comprehension, and critical reasoning. It has 36 questions, and it's worth 0 to 60 points. You have 65 minutes to answer the questions.
The Analytical Writing Assessment focuses on the analysis of an argument. It has one essay question worth 0 to 6 points. You have 30 minutes to craft an essay.
How does a Kansas City GMAT class assist me with studying for the exam?
You probably would like to know that each Kansas City class takes place online. This makes it simple for you to participate in sessions from the comfort of home or from anywhere with a stable Internet connection. We acknowledge that in addition to preparing for the test, you have other obligations in your life like a job, family, other classes, etc. So, we try to ease your burden by offering weekly GMAT prep courses. If you only want short term assistance, you can sign up for the two-week class. Do you feel that a longer class program would be beneficial? Then, sign up for the four-week class.
Upon enrolling in a Kansas City GMAT course, you'll interact with a teacher and other students in a virtual classroom. The educators who conduct lessons in these courses go through a rigorous interviewing process to ensure that they're not only knowledgeable about their subjects but also to make sure that they're excellent communicators. Everyone in the course will work together to prepare for the GMAT, and there are many ways you can do that. For example, if you want to go over parts of the Verbal Reasoning section, you and your peers can use practice worksheets to review the sentence correction and reading comprehension sub-sections. Perhaps, you would want to improve your understanding of graphs and data for the Integrated Reasoning section. You and other students can study for it by reviewing with sample tables and charts. Studying for the GMAT doesn't have to be limited to reviewing test sections. You can also spend group sessions encouraging each other if you or someone else becomes anxious about the test. As you see above, working in groups brings lots of benefits. Not only could you be a better learner, but you could also easily access help from others. However, you may also benefit from one-on-one instruction with the teacher, and these courses have that option available, too.
If you desire direct help on certain areas of the exam, the teacher is more than happy to lend you personal assistance. Feel free to request books, worksheets, and other learning materials if you feel that they can help you study better. Additionally, an instructor can share clever test-taking tips. For instance, if you have difficulty choosing between two correct-sounding answers, they can give you strategies about how to isolate the best answer.
These courses really intrigue me. How do I get started with a Kansas City GMAT course?
By signing up for a GMAT course, you benefit in many ways. The course doesn't only prepare you for the exam. It gets you ready for what you may face once enrolling in a business program. You can also build new friendships during your time in the sessions.
We at Varsity Tutors are here to help you out regardless of your objectives. Reaching out to us is very simple. You just need to send a message via the online contact form or pick up the phone. If you're eager to sign up for a Kansas City GMAT course, please contact us today.

...in Michigan and moved to Lawrence in 2013 for grad school, and I love it here. It's a pretty small town, so we've probably crossed paths at some point at the farmers market, at the monthly Free State Story Slam, or on an outdoor basketball court. And I hope we can make it work so that we'll be able to get together to master whatever class or standardized test you're working on.... I firmly believe that doing well in any class or test does not just come down to "being a math person" or just "always sucking at standardized tests." Yes, we all have different abilities, but research shows that what it really comes down to is the amount of time you put in to something. And not just nodding your head to the tutor or copying down notes; the time you spend has to be effective and intentional. That's where I hope I can come in. I have taught different subjects and tests for different test companies, so I've been able to practice a lot of strategies that maximize potential. It might be hard to believe, but with enough time, this stuff starts to become enjoyable, especially once you start seeing yourself doing well. That's my philosophy when it comes to working with students: showing you the tools and how to use them, and helping you realize you're just as capable as anyone else.

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC in 2008, the oldest English speaking acting conservatory in the world. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.... Positivity. Always.
