Geometry Tutoring review by Jessica in Moore, OK
In this session we reviewed information on trigonometry, Pythagorean theorem, 30/60/90 triangles, and 45/45/90 triangles. The student does very well with these types of problems. There were only a few problems that she needed help with, but after seeing one example problem she was able to complete the rest of that type of problem on her own. She has improved significantly in her ability to understand math. Her speed is also very much improved from the start of the school year.

We went over formulas for area, surface area, volume, angles, arcs, mid segments, triangles, and ratios. We looked through her tests from the semester and corrected anything that was wrong. We solved problems using formulas to find missing values. We figured out the steps to solve different problems and where to start.

Geometry Tutoring review by Daniel in Moore, OK
Today, we continued our work on chapters 10, 11, and 12 for studying the final exam. We are learning where she is struggling and what she will have to continue studying in the future. She appears to struggle with memorizing all of the equations for the final. When she knows the equation she needs to use, she knows how to use it and where she can find the results. Chapter 11 is the hardest in this case since it deals with surface area and volume where each shape requires a different equation. She did very well with Chapter 12 dealing with circles and fairly well with Chapter 10 today dealing with area and perimeter. I noticed her teacher wants to make finding the answer as easy as possible, so putting the equations in terms of pi or radical form will allow for less work when finding the answer.
