Phoenix French tutoring can help in many different scenarios. You may have a student taking introductory French in school, or maybe you have a business opportunity and it could be helpful to learn to communicate with native speakers. This also lets you work at your pace. You can stop your instructor to ask questions at any time and, when you don't fully understand what is being taught, your mentor can spend more time on it and even find alternative ways to teach it to you, such as using flashcards, demonstrations with objects, or engaging in interpersonal discussion.

Phoenix French tutors can apply their expertise in any aspect of the French language. You can receive guidance in strengthening your vocabulary as well as your grammar skills. If the gender and number of nouns and use of articles is confusing you, your mentor can focus on that. When you do fully understand something, they can move on and make the most use of your time by focusing on specific areas of opportunity. Your performance on written exercises and other tasks can help work through examples. These give your instructor a chance to evaluate your progress and provide real-time feedback to help use French correctly.

French grammar can take a little getting used to. Private tutors are skilled at helping students become more efficient at learning. Simulated immersion is just one strategy that can enable you to make progress. Pronunciation is important when communicating in French and only through practice can you grasp it. But working with your mentor can help improve your confidence so you actively work to towards becoming a better communicator and actively conversing with native speakers.

French Tutoring review by Carolyn in Phoenix, AZ
Today we went over writing, reading, and French. One of the student's goals is to improve his writing, and we discussed the writing process in great depth. We brainstormed, came up with main ideas, and he chose a specific topic about which to write an essay today. He is going to examine the Invasion of Guadalcanal in his essay. We went over reading material as well. We discussed the importance of reading quality literature instead of formula fiction. We discussed analyzing literature from a critical perspective, as well as the need to read higher level vocabulary. We went over the French assignments that he needs to complete in order to finish his French class.

French Tutoring review by Anna in Phoenix, AZ
We continued studying for the student's final exam on Wednesday. We went over the grammar that will be on the test, including conditional present, future, spelling-changing verbs, etc. He seems to have a good grasp of the concepts. If he makes a mistake, he usually understands what it is; his infrequent errors seem to come because he works quickly. Working quickly is fine. He will make sure to check his work before turning in the test. It's been an absolute joy to work with him this semester. Just so we know where we came from, at the beginning, he hated French and was hesitant to speak it. Now, if I ask him to use a vocabulary word in a sentence, he has no trouble constructing the sentence with the grammar concepts he has learned so far, and he can do this orally (in his head) as well as written. I am impressed with his progress. He even seems to like the language now! Maybe a little? Have a great summer!

French Tutoring review by Maureen in Phoenix, AZ
During this session, we reviewed the previously-taught -er verb conjugations, by going over homework. We reviewed essential vocabulary, to answer any questions that were challenging, including question words (in English the 5 Ws and the H) and negations (ne...pas). We also practiced conjugation of -er verbs with parler and aimer. For homework, he is going to study the common -er verbs, review ne...pas, and memorize the conjugation of etre, in preparation for simple sentences and the past tense.

French Tutoring review by Cindy in Phoenix, AZ
During today's lesson I looked at his homework and checked for accuracy. Everything was correct. Then we reviewed daily routines once again in the present tense and the passe compose. After that, we did a listening activity with questions. This activity was a little challenging for the student, but he tried his best. We went back to the other homework I had given him; his daily routine written in sequence. He was able to say it without his notes, which I was very happy about! He did a brilliant job. The only thing he has to work on is timing; make his responses flow a little easier. Finally, we briefly worked on simplifying his passe compose routine. Homework: finish the passe compose routine of "Hier Soir." Look up the places and things Quebec is famous for and make a list places to will visit and of foods he plans on trying out. We will use this list to work on the "future proche" on Wednesday.
