If you are looking for a private instructor who can help you prepare for the Arizona bar exam, Varsity Tutors can help you find an Arizona bar exam coach in as little as 24 hours.
Passing the bar exam is one of the most important parts of being able to practice law as an attorney in the United States, and while there are plenty of components of the exam that are universal across the country, there are components that are exclusive to Arizona. Arizona bar exam tutors can give you a better idea of what to expect while you are preparing for the exams while helping you better understand subjects that have been giving you trouble during your regular college courses or while you've been studying on your own.
What is on the Arizona bar exam?
The Arizona bar exam is administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners or NCBE. The examiners have adopted the Universal Bar Exam (UBE) along with much of the country. The exam itself is taken over a two-day period and consists of the Multistate Performance Test (MPT), the Multistate Essay Exam (MEE), and the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE). The MPT and MEE are taken during the first day of the exam process, and the MBE is taken during the second day.
The MPT consists of two items that are intended to test a candidate's ability to use fundamental lawyering skills to complete tasks that a novice lawyer should be able to handle. You will have 90 minutes to complete each task. The MEE consists of six 30-minute essay questions that test a candidate's ability to identify legal issues in hypothetical situations and present a detailed analysis of each issue. The MBE is a multiple-choice exam consisting of 200 questions that cover knowledge that any beginning lawyer should have by the time they've finished their education. The test is split into two 100-question sections that are each administered in 3-hour sessions.
In order to successfully pass the Arizona bar exam, you must have a total score of at least 273. The MPT consists of 20 percent of this score, the MEE makes up 30 percent, and the MBE makes up 50 percent. In addition to these exams, you must also pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) with a score of 85 or higher.
How can Arizona bar exam tutors help me prepare for the bar exam?
Preparing for the Arizona bar exam can be incredibly stressful and daunting. It doesn't cover anything that you haven't learned during your many years of law school, but an Arizona bar exam coach can help you prepare for this testing process and give you a better idea of what it can cover.
Many of the Arizona bar exam tutors that we find for candidates have taken these exams, and they can help you find strategies for studying some of the more challenging elements of the exam. For example, if you have a good working knowledge of how to resolve certain legal issues yet you have difficulty writing essays, your Arizona bar exam coach might be able to help you with your legal writing for the MPT and MEE.
If you are a more visual learner who likes to rely on flashcards and similar tools for memorizing facts, your Arizona bar exam training might include these. If you have a good handle on the concepts that you learned in law school and only need to review them before your exam, there are Arizona bar exam tutors who can help you with that as well.
No matter what you need to prepare for your upcoming exam, we can find Arizona bar exam tutors who can come up with a lesson plan that is tailored to your learning style. They also allow you to learn at your own pace in case you need some extra time to memorize difficult concepts or even take practice tests to get used to the exam format. Many students find that the format of the Arizona bar exam and the stress that comes with taking it to be just as challenging as the content itself.
While you may not have the time to take a simulation of the entire 12-hour process, you can at least take shorter practice test sections to get a better idea of what to expect from the exam itself. Your instructor can then go over the practice tests with you to find out what you did well and where you will need to make the most improvement. Even if you do exceptionally well with these practice exams and questions, this kind of Arizona bar exam tutoring can improve your confidence when it comes time to take the actual exam.
How can I fit Arizona bar exam tutoring into my busy schedule?
One of the biggest obstacles that students face when they're preparing for their bar exam is simply finding the time to study. It's one thing to attend classes at a law school and adhere to a regular schedule; it's another thing entirely to find time to study on your own when you have other commitments.
We understand this better than anyone, which is why we want to make it as easy as possible to help you find high-quality Arizona bar exam training. While you should always stick to a regular tutoring schedule as closely as possible, you can at least have some say over what that schedule will be. All you have to do is let us know what your preferred schedule is, and we can find an instructor who can match it as closely as possible.
You will also have the option of studying with your tutor either online or in person. This alone can make studying with an instructor far more convenient than many other options simply because you can choose where to hold your tutoring sessions. You can decide to work from your home if traveling to a physical location is too difficult for you, or you can choose to go somewhere else if you think it would help.
Online tutoring is more convenient because there is no need to travel to a physical location to study with your instructor. All you need is a reliable computer and a wi-fi connection, and you will be able to work with your tutor.
Online tutoring gives you the chance to take advantage of our Live Learning Platform, which has features such as video chat, a virtual whiteboard, a shared document editor if you need to practice for the essay portion of the bar exam, and integrated practice problems. The platform records your tutoring sessions so that you can review them later. This can be especially helpful if you are taking any practice exams and need to know which subjects you will need to study in future sessions with your instructor.
