As a biological researcher, I love to keep learning about progress in my field - but more than anything, I enjoy communicating my research to others. I began to enjoy math and physics during my sophomore year of high school when I encountered trigonometry and algebra 2. I've had many opportunities throughout this time to both learn and teach and I am passionate about both. I have been a teaching assistant, tutor, researcher, guest lecturer, researcher, and am currently a practicing engineer.Some things about me: I've resided in Saint Louis my whole life and am very familiar with the area. I love the outdoors and take runs around my neighborhood every chance I get. I enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping, and mountain climbing. I love to read and learn things that are outside of my immediate skill set. As a tutor, I look forward to encountering various learning styles and adapting my own teaching style to the needs of my students. My goal is to not only provide assistance in the material currently encountered by the students, but also to give them tools to succeed in their own in their future studies.

I am currently a first year medical student at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. I graduated with a B.S. in Health Management and Policy from Saint Louis University. I was born and brought up in Okemos, Michigan, a vibrant suburb near Lansing. Here, I gained a passion for education and began tutoring underserved youth in Lansing, Michigan. This passion stuck with me as I began my undergraduate education at Saint Louis University. Following the Jesuit ideals emphasized at SLU, I continued tutoring underprivileged youth in north St. Louis. I love sharing my passion for education with my students. During my senior year at SLU, I became a Physics TA and taught a class of 30 students the fundamentals of applied physics. On my journey to medical school, I studied hard for the MCAT and scored in the 98th percentile. I hope to share this success with all my students in the future.
