I love teaching/tutoring. I first fell in love with teaching when my niece and nephew were young. I would take them on walks and seek to explain to them everything around us. From the telephone lines to the birds in the sky. This love of teaching lead me to obtain my masters degree from Georgia State University. As a graduate student, I taught an introduction to college for college freshmen. Afterwards I did my teaching internship at a high school teaching world history. Upon completion of my program, I accepted a position as a Social Studies teacher at a middle school. All these experiences were very rewarding and now I want to use my knowledge and skills to help tutor students online, especially during these challenging academic times due to Covid-19.Tutoring is very rewarding. I love those "aha" moments when a student finally understands a concept with which they have been struggling. As a teacher, there is nothing to which I look forward to more!As someone with a Masters degree in teaching and an undergraduate degree in Business & History, I have learned what good writing entails. Good writing is both an art and a science. With so much practice, I have learned to master this wonderful gift and hope to help others do the same.As a certified history teacher in Georgia, I know history. I have spent the past 14+ years studying history. This includes in formal classes, studying for the state certification exam, reading books in my spare time, listening to lectures online, and the list goes on. In my spare time, I am usually watching or reading something of history. Please let me know how I can help!

I believe education to be the key to unlocking limitless opportunities in every aspect of life. During my matriculation towards both my bachelor's and master's in accounting, I learned that committing to a life of learning could take me anywhere in the world. I now hold the highest and most respected designation in the field. As a CPA specializing in taxation, I naturally enjoy teaching technical tax concepts that fall under the Regulation section of the exams. I have always been fascinated with the underlying "goal" that the legislated tax code looks to achieve. Understanding and explaining the science of the concepts to students and colleagues bring much satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment as adding value to the professional stature of our industry and, effectively, the world.
I have been a teacher of Mathematics and Physics since 2008. I earned a BA in Mathematics and a MS in Statistics. I believe every student can learn and it's the job of the teacher to ensure that the student's unique learning style is activated. I am certified to teach Physics and Mathematics, and am currently working as an instructor of Mathematics and Programming at the Interactive College of Technology and Kennesaw State University. I believe when a subject is presented correctly, any student can develop a love for it. I have taught elementary students, high school students and college students, everything from basic Arithmetic to Vector Calculus and Complex Analysis. My experiences as a teacher have led me to stress the importance of realizing what the transferable skills are from Mathematics and that it is a human endeavor, above all else. I take a holistic approach to teaching, which means that students are expected to reason through problems algebraically, graphically, pictorially and verbally. When students are able to synthesize these four approaches to concept mastery, real understanding emerges, and students, perhaps for the first times in their lives, see what they are truly doing. Thanks for reading my profile, and I am eager to help your child discover the beauty of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics.
I am an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State University, pursuing a Bachelor in the Arts of English alongside a Minor in Professional Writing. Since I was a kid, I've loved reading and writing. After graduating, I decided to share my expertise with other students, and realized that English is a subject many students struggle in. It is a difficult subject to teach, but an important one in our day and age; whatever a student's aspirations may be, a firm grasp of reading and writing is an essential skill. That's why I'm so passionate about tutoring this subject. In a large classroom, it can be hard to take the time to give each student the personal attention they need. Every student's level of understanding is different, so I believe in offering specific, personalized help for students who want to improve their writing. I love tutoring all things English, from Essay Writing and Editing, to Reading Comprehension, all the way to Composition.I believe communication is essential to our professional and personal aspirations, and hope that my students and I can help each other learn and grow as readers and writers.
I am a passionate tutor for young students ranging from kindergarten to middle school, motivated by my skill and experience in working with children for a number of years. My love for the educational environment and teaching methodology has led me to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have experience working with children through childcare, athletics, and tutoring. I have tutored students at libraries, virtually, and in school settings. As a tutor, I believe each student has a unique way in which they will comprehend the material effectively. Whether it is drawing out a visual aid, using real life examples, or analyzing the problem and breaking it down (colors are great for this), I can adapt quickly to a students situation to help them reach their goals. I am very cognizant of the extra support young students need with focusing and a structured learning environment, and have the confidence I can assist them to succeed with their work. Though I am well versed in all subjects, I favor the Language Arts and Reading subjects as an individual who finds joy in reading and writing in my leisure time. When I am not tutoring or in school, I find myself maintaining an active lifestyle spending time with my pets outside, running, doing ballet, or observing nature. I am looking forward to contributing to your student's learning success with my tutoring sessions!
Hello! Thank you for viewing my profile, I would like to share with you a little bit about myself, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! I received my bachelor of science in Mathematics in 2016 and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics. While in school, I made it a point to take the most challenging math courses possible. I taught mathematics in the public school system for three years at the Middle and High School levels. Teaching is my passion. I find the greatest joy in helping my students reach their goals and become strong in math, especially when they believe that they are not naturally good enough to ever succeed in mathematics. I love when I work with a student who begins with the belief that they will never perform well in their math courses. Watching them learn, grow, and develop confidence in themselves is very special. For the students that already have confidence in themselves when it comes to their math abilities, I have no trouble pushing them to their limit, being tough on them so that they can reach their true potential. I do not view tutoring as simply helping a student through questions, my job is to empower the student to be able to solve these problems on their own and have the belief that they can reason through any problem no matter how challenging.Thank you again for visiting my profile and I look forward to working with you!

I strive to aid and educate students and individuals in need to be the best they can potentially be.
I have always had a mind for mathematics and science. Because of this gift, I was always the one person in class everyone asked for help. I learned quickly how to teach others, which helped in my home life as I had a younger brother who was not so gifted in math. Through him, and his friends who also struggled with mathematics, I found that most people struggle with math because they believe it is too difficult. I believe by being a tutor and helping others learn I can impart my wisdom to the next generation and make a difference in the world. What sparked my interest in Biology was an interest in life. I loved animals and learning about them. This love for animals narrowed to a love of the complexity of the human system, which I am now studying. When I'm not studying I enjoy music of all genre. From VNV Nation to Trivium to Earth, Wind, and Fire, I love all music and can appreciate most music. I also enjoy reading novels, preferably those in the realm of science fiction. And though I can enjoy playing video games in a casual sense, I'd much prefer walking Kennesaw Mountain or skiing on Lake Altoona. It is my hope that through my experiences as a knowledgeable brother, friend, and tutor, I can also help a broader range of people learn the subjects they are experiencing difficulties in.
I've taught a little bit of everything, including theatre, study skills, computer science, robotics, and more. I love helping others and problem solving. This summer, I'll graduate with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from KSU, with dual minors in marketing and marketing for sports & entertainment. I believe in radical kindness, empathy, and integrity.
