Have written books, edited books, and published books, including bestsellers, and have written TV scripts. Have edited more than 100 books and tens of thousands of news and feature articles. Taught writing at two universities, one college, one community college, and have tutored grade school and high school students, college students, and adults. Degree in journalism, grad study in history.

I'm pursuing a double major in Mathematics and English at Vanderbilt University. I have been tutoring math since High School and have native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese. I am dedicated to helping students explore the study methods that will fit their individual needs.

I graduated from UNC- Chapel Hill December 2015 and will be going to medical school this fall. I know how much of a struggle the MCAT can be. I put a lot of time and effort into it last year and came out successful. I know I can be a valuable resource to get you prepared for what seems like such a daunting test!

My philosophy as an educator is that every child can learn. I believe that often in education children are given up on if they cannot grasp a concept when in fact it is the education system that is failing the child. Every child has their own way of learning, and as an educator, it is my mission to make sure that every child achieves his/her goals.I am originally from Orlando, FL but relocated to Massachusetts a little over a year ago. I went to the University of Central Florida where I obtained my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I have six years experience in education and five years experience as a tutor. I love spending time outdoors with my family and watching sporting events.

I am currently at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a bachelor degree in petroleum engineering. Since January 2016, I have been tutoring Math and Physics at my current college. These two subjects are my favorites because I am proficient. My tutoring style consists in having my students complete some practice problems that encompass the concepts they do not understand in order to identify their needs and help them master what could not before. My interests outside of academia consist in playing soccer and swimming. Also, I like to watch documentaries and movies, to read books, and to go for a walk in my neighborhood.

After transferring from a community college, I graduated from Cornell University in 2020 and received a B.A. in philosophy with Distinction in All Subjects, 4.05 GPA. After, I became a tutor, with English reading and writing and philosophy as some of my subjects. I believe that the sharing and communication of knowledge is an important aspect of human life. I enjoy working with a variety of learning approaches and am glad to assist students and learners attain their potential. My personal areas of interest are the humanities, mathematics, and the sciences, and in particular, English, Latin, and philosophy. I believe that learning is a lifelong activity and part of human excellence. I can keep a child engaged and keep to the subject matter.My strong suits are the basic sciences of Chemistry and Physics as well as Mathematics. I have taught the essentials of mechanics and engineering using Lego and I have taught the basics of civics and business as a Junior Achievement teacher in the upper elementary schools.I worked with adults as an English as a Second Language Teacher as well.

I am a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where I graduated with a BA in Political Science. I will begin graduate school this fall at Virginia Commonwealth University and will begin a position as a teaching assistant in the sociology department. During my undergraduate career, I have had several opportunities to work with my peers on projects and assignments. History, government, literature and writing are subjects that I have always enjoyed, and I love sharing my passion for them with high school and college students. I am always ready to share my insight and experiences in SAT testing and AP testing. I believe that the most important part of success for students is accommodating their personal learning and study preferences. Whether it’s the style of organizing notes or the need for background music during a session, each student must feel absolutely comfortable, and as a tutor I take that responsibility seriously. I enjoy incorporating my interests and hobbies with my academic passions, and believe that all students can do the same. I am an avid reader and film watcher, and enjoy writing poetry and music with the help of my guitar.
