I have been a licensed nurse for 9 years and a registered nurse for 2 years. I graduated in May of 2020 from Delaware County Community College. I currently work as a transplant case manager, and am back in school to obtain my BSN by way of Chamberlain University. As a former and current student, I am well versed in NCLEX , NCLEX prep, test taking skills, building good study habits and how to stay organized. I have taken the NCLEX twice , once for my LPN and once for my RN. I passed both tests on the first attempt. I do not consider myself a genius, but I know how to study and how to answer test questions to pass just about any test, even when you don't know the answer. I know the stress of test taking. This unique perspective has broadened my academic horizons and personal development to areas far outside the classroom, equipping me with valuable skills in today’s increasingly global environment.My international interests and travels have instilled the ability to learn and adapt quickly, as well as apply knowledge and language skills effectively and efficiently. In addition to the completion of my Spanish minor, an educational trip to Costa Rica and summer classes in Spain have provided me with communication skills and a thorough understanding of different cultures.My qualified experience includes an internship with a premier real estate fund manager that has proved crucial to my development in areas of finance, and business organizations, organizational delegation and personal responsibility. Additionally, my internship with US Congressman Jim Cooper greatly expanded my knowledge and perspective of current affairs both domestic and abroad, and how they affect our national policies. Finally, 80 hours of tutoring experience in many different subjects at the Boys and Girls Club in Athens, GA has sparked my interest in motivating, teaching, and mentoring students from 8-18 years old.I am confident that my academic experiences and qualifications in Finance, Spanish and International Business have provided me with a unique opportunity and skill-set that I can pass on to others in a way that is easy to understand for students of all ages.

I recently graduated Drexel University with a master degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences with a concentration in Anatomy and Pathology. I completed my Undergraduate degrees at Mount Mary University, BS in Chemistry and BA in Spanish. After graduating undergrad I spent 6 months in Kyrgyzstan teaching college English. I enjoy tutoring English, math, Spanish, and science. I have experience with tutoring these subjects in students ages 5-26. I am on the pre-med track, with hopes of working internationally with nonprofits as a doctor. I am involved in tutoring programs such as Students Expanding Austin Literacy and The Education Project, the first of which is in person tutoring and the latter being online instruction. I love working on a wide variety of tutoring subjects, but specifically the sciences and english subjects. I find that it's very important to help students deeply understand questions in a way that works for them best! I believe that learning for learning's sake will help anyone get where they want to go in life.

As a QuestBridge Scholar and an undergraduate biomedical engineering student at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, I am exploring my creativity by pursuing a double major in Asian Languages and Cultures with a focus in Korean, studying abroad in South Korea as a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholar, leading workshops that teach 3D printing and CAD for undergraduate students as the president of 3D4E, advocating for the first-generation and low-income student community as the Outreach Chair of the Quest+ Scholars Network, and getting involved with the Society of Women Engineers' outreach committee. I currently hold a work-study position as an administrative clerical aide in the Institute of Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern and was an undergraduate researcher in the John Rogers Lab. As I look forward with aspirations of applying to graduate school, areas of research in biomedical engineering and biotechnology that I am particularly interested in include biomaterials, pharmaceuticals, and drug delivery systems. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy learning on my own and sharing my experience and knowledge with my peers and other students. I hope to make use of my experiences with academics and learning in high school and so far in my undergraduate career in order to effectively tutor students who may be experiencing the same struggles in learning that I also experienced.
