I am a former professor of Computer Science from Berea College. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Business and Economics, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science, from the University of Kentucky, and have had a wonderful time immersing myself in the world of learning. I try to approach every subject I encounter with a sense of wonder and openness so that I can appreciate the world around me to the greatest degree. I have a strong preference for experiential learning, and an approach that emphasizes asking questions and learning to come to your own conclusions given the information you have. I thrive on teaching myself new subjects, and I want nothing more than to help you do the same!

In addition to economics, programming, math, and computer science, I also spend a great deal of time reading about history, writing articles for outlets like Medium.com to share some of my learning experiences, and discovering new ways to play my guitar. I am also an avid outdoorsman, and greatly enjoy taking quiet days to myself to get lost on a hiking trail and enjoy the nature surrounding me.
