My 2016 Resolution to be a Better Student
Everybody wants to become a better student so they can be able to go farther in life. One way is to come up with a New Year’s resolution to help them achieve their goal. Well I am proposing one resolution that is going to allow me to become a better student. I’m going to make myself indulge and really understand the work I am doing. If I am able to this I will become a better, well rounded student and hopefully excel even more.
One way of becoming a better student in the classroom with my proposal is that if I have a clear understanding of what I am being taught it will help me when I am tested. The only way to do excellent when testing is to know what is being asked of a student’s knowledge. It is important and only successful if a student knows what they have learnt and have fully grasped it. Applying any type of information will be a failure if I do not know what I am doing to begin with. Students go through their entire grade years by just doing what needs to be done to get by. They don’t comprehend the knowledge and capabilities they have been giving. I want to excel and be successful in life. Knowledge is the only way possible to achieve it.
Some people don’t realize that we are all students. Whether a person goes to school or not they are a student. As humans we are always learning, always discovering new things, and ideas. My resolution can also help me out in the real world where I am also a student. Understanding the rights and wrongs of this world can help me stay out of danger. Grasping how to drive a car or even just learning how to have a conversation or interview with people are all going to make me a better student. I want to strive in any way I can this year and if that means understanding how a credit card works then I’m ready to learn. People that don’t understand this world are sadly taken advantage of and abused. Understanding and truly knowing how things work is my best way of succeeding.
This year brings a lot of new opportunities. It also brings its chance to become a better student inside and outside the classroom. Comprehension and indulgent of what I am to learn are important actions that I need to take this year to become a better, well rounded student. I’ve got a bright future and with my resolution of complete understanding of knowledge given to me I know I will get farther in life and be a better student this year.
