Getting paid to do what I love by Regan - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

What do you want to be when you grow up? My answer an artist more specifically a video game designer or maybe even work on computer animation. Many think this is a far fetched goal but thankfully my family has told me to shoot for the moon and even if you miss you will land among the stars. So I decided to follow their advice and here is my game plan.
After much research I have found a school that is offering a degree that is perfectly suited for my career choice. Boise State is offering a degree called Gaming, Interactive Media, and Mobile Technology. While there I will be taking classes such as Visual Story Telling, Game Design Theory and 3D Animation. I am giddy just thinking about it!
Once I get my degree I am excited to see where this will take me. I could work for Microsoft in developing the next video game or if I am really lucky I can be on the team to make the next Pixar film! I'm not sure where I will land but I see my nerdy little self working in a computer lab surrounded by like minded creative people. I will be doing what I love and getting paid for it!
