Fast Forward: 10 Years From Now by Moriah - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

Fast forward to ten years from now. Where am I? What have I become? The future is full of the unknown, but I hope to be successful, with a husband and maybe one child to share my success with. I see myself living in a cabin somewhere along the river and working full time as a journalist, eventually owning my own company. From a young age I had everything all planned out. Those plans have had a few tweaks and changes along the road. If it weren’t for education, I would not be able to put my dreams into reality. 10 years from now, the amount of success I have achieved will be mostly owed to a life filled with education. Without an education, one simply cannot grasp the basics of what is essential to our everyday life. Learning to read and write, and solve basic math problems is a key component in education and in life. Over the course of time our brain consumes knowledge of all kinds. What we choose to do with that knowledge is a choice of our own.
I was fortunate enough to have gotten a full education. From three year-old head start, to senior year, and my future college schooling; my life has been blessed. I know that with hard work and dedication, any dream, no matter the size, can be achieved. All you have to do is believe in yourself and anything is possible!
