Georgia by Moriah - November 2015 Scholarship Essay

I am most thankful for my ability to work with others towards the common good.
My education has allowed me to correspond with other students and use our various talents to work towards a mutual goal. For example, when you ask a student about their career aspirations, they will likely say that part of their goals is to make the world a better place or to help people.
When students work with their peers on projects and assignments, we are able to work with each other and individuals are able to use their strengths to compensate for other students’ weaknesses. The projects that are completed can then be used as a research basis for other projects where all of the work of individual students can come together and work to better society. Students are working toward the common good. Students are able to use a variety of talents and work together in order to solve complex problems.
For example, I have been able to use my research abilities to write a paper on euthanasia in America where I was able to present the information to my class, in order to bring a controversial topic to conversation where thoughts may freely among students. I am currently unaware of the repercussions of my presentation, however, it could have inspired other students to conduct further research, solve problems related to euthanasia, and so much more.
The most beautiful thing about education is the unbound future it provides students, the opportunities provided are limitless. Educated individuals are well prepared to have an impact on the world and capable to do so through any means necessary.
