For Agriculture I am Thankful
For generations, the men in my family have been farmers and ranchers. Luckily for me, I too have a passion for agriculture. Through schooling and education I have garnered an abundance of agricultural knowledge for which I am thankful for.
Agriculture Education teachers typically receive freshmen with one of two mindsets: those who think Ag class is going to be a blow off class, and those who think Ag class is the primary purpose of public school. I was, and still am, the boy whose life revolves around Agriculture Education. Agriculture Education covers a broad spectrum. FFA is one of the many organizations available for students enrolled in ag classes.
Through FFA, I have learned many things. I can stand in front of a room of hundreds and recite a four page long speech. I can show the legs off of a overly-pampered-black-heifer. I can ask a random stranger if they want to buy some overpriced meat, and convince them to say yes.
Without my education I would not be the agriculturist I am, or have the opportunities I do. The spectrum of my education for which I am most thankful for is Ag class.
