Education by Justin - December 2015 Scholarship Essay
Ten years from now will be the year 2025. Ten years is an extremely long time and a lot could happen during that time frame. In ten years from now I will be twenty-six years old and will have graduated from an institution of Higher Learning. A Masters Degree will also be a part of my portfolio in ten years.
I plan on double-majoring in the fields of Sports Management and Journalism. I will be working in the field of Journalism in ten years time. I will be working as a Sports Journalist traveling all over the world doing the two things which I truly love. Those two things are watching Sports and writing. In that respect, in addition to many others Sports Journalism is a dream profession for someone like myself.
Education is the backbone of society and is necessary for future successes in life. College is definitely not a waste of money, instead it is an investment in one's future. Education is one thing in life which is not tangible, so that also means more importantly that it could never be taken away. No matter what hardships may come one's way, education is something which will always be retained.
College and any other type of Higher Education should be looked at as a learning experience. It is a stepping stone to leading a successful, productive, and fulfilled life. Everyone as a child has their dreams and aspirations, but in order to turn that dream into a reality education is necessary.
Education provides people with the intellectual prowess that is needed to hold a job. Without education an individual will find themselves unable to secure any type of descent job, let alone their dream job.
I will have the privilege of doing what I love due to the knowledge which I have gained in College. I will gain necessary experience in the field of Journalism through a countless number of Internships. These Internships will lead to myself getting a job in my field once I graduate from College.
I also will be able to work in the field of Sports Journalism due to the rigorous curriculum which I had to endure in College. I will certainly have to work hard, and that tireless work ethic will lead to success later in life. Throughout all my years of education I have worked as hard as I possibly could. I am extremely dedicated and that is really a great character trait to possess.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that in tem years I will have graduated from College with both a Bachelor's and Masters Degree. In addition, I will also be working in the field of Sports Journalism.
