2016 is the year for patience by Frances - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

This year, the year of 2016, my resolution is patience.

Patience is, and will be my resolution because it will give me the opportunity to grow in my education. I have the tendency to become frustrated with my academics which therefore leads me to become astray from my studies. Not only that, but patience will help me work with others, having this when working with others is beneficial because you get more practice working with people. And with that, it will help for your professional career and overall life because no matter what you choose to do, working with people is going to be a requirement.

I am one who finds school challenging, but does take it extremely seriously. School does not come naturally which is part of the reasoning why I believe it to be frustrating. However, school in my mind, is very important because I want to succeed in whatever career I choose to pursue. Which is why the resolution I chose this year will help me to take it seriously and work through my challenges. So, this year I am not going to make a childish resolution that does not help me strengthen myself, I am choosing something that will help my academics and overall professional self.
