Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?How will your education help you get there? by Dorinda - December 2015 Scholarship Essay
Education is fundamental to the development of many advantages in life. The purpose of education, is to chose a career path, of which you will spend your life working towards retirement, and having enough savings to stay out of debt. An education beyond high school will get you much farther in life, and you will excell the expectations once you graduate college alone, because then, greater opportunities will find you. In one months time, I will be a student at Chicago State University, to pursue this dream for my future. Ten years from now, I see myself having enough savings to provide me with the things I need and want, I will be living middle class, and still working towards retirement, and lastly, I will have degrees and a permanent career.
To be a good worker, you have to have structure in your everyday scedualing, and plan ahead, instead of waiting until the last minute to prepare for what is expected. You have to learn and know a business to excell every expectation, because the more you know your work, the more you can get done in less of a hassle. I am confident that I will have a successful life in ten years, because I work hard, whilst following the procedures of which I stated before. I will continue apply this to my everyday work in whatever career path I choose, because I am a perfectionist, who feels that quality work and scedualing, will play a key role in a person reaching their life goals whether they are later, or now.
One of my main goals in life, or for later, is to not have to work, but you have to make sacrifices to work up to that point in the time being. Some people get success easier than most people, and those who don't, simply has to keep their head up and continue working to get to where the most successful people are. Success takes time and patience, which will get you far in the long run. It may not seem like it, but we all know the saying "good things comes to those who wait". Ten years from now, I can also see myself with all the normal things that any college graduate deserves, which is a house, a car, and anything else that I want. I imagine myself having the kind of life that you only see celebrities living, but only my future and hard work will determine the outcome. It is very important to me to keep faith in riches, as well as the working up to it, and I know the outcome will be pleasing to me, and as well as others.
In conclusion, I see myself living a successful life ten years from now, and education plays a key role to lead me up to that point.
