The Next Years of My Life by Brittany - December 2015 Scholarship Essay
Senior year is full of applications, tests, and scholarships. With graduation coming sooner than everyone thought; the future is coming closer and closer. High School can be left behind as just a memory and stepping stone. No more cliques and the ridiculousness of popularity; just time to focus on passions and dreams. We will all go our own separate ways and we will all chase our own dreams. However, like many of my classmates I hope to attend college and continue my journey towards my passion.
College is the next chapter is many lives. They seek to continue education, and to sharpen their skills, in order to provide for themselves or others. Others meaning support a family, or provide a service for society. In order to achieve that goal I hope to attend Penn State University and study Forensics Science. I will spend 4 years there to receive my Bachelor’s Degree, and then hopefully get a job in the FBI. If that does not happen I hope to become involved or work at a crime lab setting – or any forensic science program. After a few years I hope to attend Sam Houston State University in order to receive my Master’s or PhD because I am that passionate about Forensics.
I have had a love of forensics since I was seven years old and watched CSI for the first time; it intrigued me. My life began to revolve around it; my parents were forced to buy every kit and book I could get my hands on. There was not a single doubt in my mind I would want to do anything else with my life, so I would be surprised if I do not achieve my goals in 10 years. But the end of high school is coming near and I am ready. I can finally be like my childhood heroes and solve mysteries. My heart is set to follow this path.
