My Future by Brandy - December 2015 Scholarship Essay

I see myself in ten years doing a career that I am in love with. Throughout my life I have had an intense love and passion for Nature. Being outdoors was never foreign to me growing up being as I have lived out in the middle of nowhere on a two-acre farm for the past 11 years. And I think my upbringing in the country has led me to have a love of nature and a passion to protect it. Therefore in ten years I hope to be doing exactly that, protecting and loving the environment and nature by finding a career in that field and educating myself through college to better do that.
Firstly, I plan to graduate high school. This should be a relatively easy feat being as I am currently passing all my classes. However, I desperately want to get all A’s in my classes throughout my senior year. This will be a bit of a trickier task. I am close to all A’s in most of my classes, and in the classes I don’t have A’s in I am trying with all my might to improve.
After high school, ultimately, I would love to go to University of Oregon. Ever since I visited their campus earlier this fall I fell in love with the school. At the University of Oregon I could further my education and my pursuit for knowledge of the environment and how to protect it. I want to go for a four year degree and I want to graduate with a very high GPA. I am going to accomplish this with hard work and determination.
After college I plan to search for a job and hopefully will get a really good job in agriculture or forestry. I understand that once I get that job, I will start out at the bottom of the company most likely. Which is okay, because it gives me lots of room to move up and get ahead. I will work my hardest to become further up in the company and maybe one day even run the company I get a job in. My future is something I greatly look forward to and I know that it’s going to be magnificent.
