The aspect of my education that I am most thankful for is the kindness of teachers and their willingness to understand me as a person not just a student. Teachers do so much for the school that most do not realize. They make sure all of the students are safe and that each student is trying their hardest although a couple will always slip through. Teachers make sure that there are many different ways to get in touch with them and make many sacrifices for their students.
There are many kids that go to their parents complaining of a stomach or head ache just to get out of going to school, sometimes it is because the student is actually sick and sometimes they know that they need help in school and are unwilling to ask for help. The teachers in other schools do not have the time or patience to deal with one student of 300 that doesn’t understand a concept. Class sizes are much smaller in my school so there is a more individualized approach. Being able to learn one on one with the teachers is so important to my education. I am always welcome to ask for help and the teacher will always take the time to help. In other schools, students may not be able o do that and may have to reference a book or website, which aren’t always helpful.
Another reason why I appreciate all of the work teachers put into our education is how flexible they are. The teachers are able to take out time of their lives to stay after school to help you understand a topic. Also, the flexibility of internet usage for homework and research assignments makes learning much easier. Also, the availability of online classes shows the flexibility of the teachers. Currently, I am taking an online physics course because my school doesn’t have a physics teacher. Although I cannot directly talk with the teacher, he is still able to help me solve problems that I do not understand. Also, with the use of internet our school is now taking advantage of Google classroom to turn work in and to communicate with the teacher. If I were to miss a day I would be able to check Google classroom to see what I missed.
The accessibility and importance of teachers or tutors in the schools is very important. Tutors are easier to find than ever before and are sometimes better to learn from. They may give you a new approach to learning a concept. In regards o contacting a tutor, our school does a daily announcement and if you need a tutor you can ask the office to put in the request. The teachers are always supportive and will take as much time as you need so you can understand the topic. Teachers understand that each student has a different way of learning and try to incorporate as many ways into their lessons. Teachers and tutors take time out of their schedules to help you and to make sure you are successful.
Teacher support you in every aspect of your education whether you realize it or not. They spend so much time thinking of ways to improve their own teaching styles and even more time making sure you understand and succeed in their classes. Teacher’s willingness to help, understand, be accessible and to be kind is such an important aspect of education, no one would be where they are without the help of them.
