What aspect of your education are you most thankful for? by Alexandra - November 2015 Scholarship Essay

There are many aspects of my education which I am thankful for. The main reasons include the broad spectrum of courses offered at my school, and the knowledge and helpfulness of all of my teachers.
I was fortunate enough to be able to go to a school where they have classes to suit anyone’s interests. Every interest area from home economics, agriculture, foreign language, math, science and history, are offered at Carlyle High School.
I also appreciate the opportunities offered through Dual Credit courses. This, I know, will provide a smooth transition as I enter college and continue to help throughout my college education. Knowing I have the opportunity to get some of my general college classes out of the way is a great feeling! There are a variety of students in my school who love taking the classes offered through this wonderful opportunity.
I also have to thank all of my teachers for my outstanding education. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. They put their heart into teaching, which makes learning a lot more fun.
My teachers have always been there to help me. If I have trouble understanding something, they always do their best to make sure I understand and succeed. They take their job and student success very seriously. One of my favorite high school teachers always says, “That’s what I’m here for!”
I could not be more thankful for my education. Between the broad variety of classes available and the great teachers, my education has lead me in the right direction. I can see it continuing to go that direction – forward.
