Describe one New Year's resolution that will help you become a better student in 2016. by Afshin - January 2016 Scholarship Essay

I want to become a computer Programmer because I love to talk with computer and I want to gather more knowledge in my mind. Right now I'm so excited and I have so much passion because I didn't have the opportunity to go to a grate college in Iran.
The only reason that I came to the United States is to graduate from the best university that I can. Right now I only focused on my educating and trying to get more knowledge about everything.
The goal of becoming a computer programmer is so important to me because if I become a Programmer I have the opportunity to be helpful for the whole society and the opportunity to enhance technology for the future or even invent something.
In the United States I have the tools, resources and I've league university that can help me achieve my lifetime goals. The goals that I have from embraced since childhood.
It looks like my childhood dreams are becoming a reality so I really don't want to waste them. That is why every day I'm trying to shape myself into a better person than I was the day before. I know I need to work hard for that.
I had a lot of hard work of educating in Iran but right now when I look back on my past days I realize that I didn't had any real goal because I knew that I couldn't success in Iran because of Religious discrimination in Iran.
But in the United States I have more will for my educating because I know here the more that I try the more I will get. In Iran I was attending a gifted and talented high school and in my former school I had already taken some computer classes.
In those classes they taught me about Computer Language and Algorithm. This is where I became interested about this stupid machine that can do everything and I mean everything that a human wants.
I read about this Languages in my free times for example I read about QBasic Language and it was so easy and more like human Langueges.I wanted to know more about Computer Languages but I knew I will not have any opportunity in Computer Science because even if I get a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree no one is going to give me a job again because of Religious discrimination in Iran.
No one is going to give me a job unless I get my Master's Degree from the capital city of Iran and that needs money and my family didn't have enough money for that. In addition, the number of people that can educate in that university is so limited.
these are the reasons that I had to forgot my dream of becoming a Programmer, but when I came to the United States I saw a lots of opportunity in front of me and I don't want to lose them. That’s why I'm trying more than ever because right now I have motivation.
This motivation makes me study more than before and gives me more hope for achieving my goals.
