The ability to create inanimate beings with a pencil or paintbrush is a very special talent. Of all the things learned throughout my life, the one talent that has stuck with me has been making art. Carefully focusing every bit of determination created in one’s body onto a paper or canvas is an amazing skill. Digital paintings and digitally animated movies contain color, texture, emotion, and even movement as well as hand-made art, all coming together as one to bring life to art. The beauty from both art medias cause objects to possess these life-like characteristics and “pop-out”, making it truly extraordinary. The illusion causes the eye to believe it is alive, making it the sole reason for the interest in graphics and design and animation alike. Further perfecting my artistic skills will allow me to bring art to life.
The fact I can simply transfer art using my very hand is truly a gift. My dream is to be able to summon the very characters and abstract digital paintings made from the screen. I long for the day I carefully manipulate the skills I have now to become something better. I want my audience to jump back after seeing an animation or picture I’ve created, amazed in awe. Art to me is something I can truly use as my second voice, making it that much more of a unique and learned skill. Pouring all of my built up skill onto a canvas allows me to speak with flows of motion, a sketch of a line, and even the movement of a mouse. Not only speaking my mind, but becoming the voice of the speechless puts on a whole new set of weights onto my shoulders, causing me to immediately appreciate my potential as an artist.
I will use this talent presented to me to pursue my life-long dream, taking a variety of art classes throughout my high school years tends to be the way to go. Currently taking art classes to further sharpen my skills as an artist, the art classes do not just consist of one media. Ranging from sculpting and drawing classes to a graphics design and illustration class, dipping my toes into new types of art styles will further strengthen my skills. Using all the knowledge I have of built up over the course of almost a lifespan, I am constantly creating new art masterpieces both through computer and paper, surely opening the doors which lead to my goals. With the use of a sketch pad, portfolios, and saved files, my art pieces are all secure. Being familiar with animating small clips and creating logos for a future family business will cause the path to overcoming obstacles be a breeze. Reflecting back at each finished project, I constantly find ways to better perfect my talents.
Perfecting my artistic skills will allow me to continue on with an open mind, and display the path to success.. I hope to become the true successor I hope to be. With the knowledge to be gained in the upcoming years for both animation and graphics, I will surely be set up for independence and self-motivation. Art truly is something that drives my day every day. Constantly viewing my surroundings and appreciating the given gifts of beauty inspire me every day with the different works I create myself. The talents gained, knowledge learned, relationships created, and a growing passion will further push me into the arms of my future career. My hopes and wants are sitting at my doorstep. Just having this unique skill learned will soon allow me to open that door, and take the steps needed to acquire it.
