PSAT Math Flashcards
If you are getting ready to take your PSAT exam soon, then you may feel nervous about scoring well on the PSAT Math section. Even if you performed well in your high school math courses, you may fear that you won't remember the Algebra or Geometry concepts now, especially if you took the courses early in your high school career. Thankfully, the Varsity Tutors' Learning Tools suite includes an entire PSAT Math study help section, including the PSAT Math study flashcards you can use to study whenever you have just a few minutes to practice!
The Math section of the PSAT currently has 47 questions on it that you will be given 70 minutes to answer. When you begin the PSAT Math section, you will not be allowed to use a calculator for the first 25 minutes of the exam. However, during the final 45 minutes, you can use a calculator, so don't forget to bring one on test day! Sixteen questions are based on Algebra concepts, so be sure to include refresh yourself on Algebra when preparing for the test. An additional 16 questions are based on Advanced Math, 13 on Data Analysis and Problem Solving, and two questions are based on undisclosed “additional topics.”
Varsity Tutors' Learning Tools has thousands of pre-made PSAT Math flashcards you can use to test your memory of Math concepts that may be on the PSAT. Important math concepts you can use the flashcards to brush up on include Algebraic Fractions, Equations/Inequalities, Quadratic Equations, Decimals with Fractions, and many more. The flashcards offer a great way to squeeze in some PSAT Math review right on your computer, tablet, or smartphone whenever you have just a few minutes to spare. You can pull them up easily during study hall in school or during break-time at your after-school job.
It is a great idea to run through the full set of free flashcards online once to see which Mathematics concepts you remember well and which ones you struggle to answer. Once you locate the concepts you don't feel confident in, you can then opt to review just those concepts by taking advantage of the subsets of flashcards related to those concepts.
If you locate additional PSAT Math study questions you would like to add to the pre-made set of flashcards, it is super-easy to create your own flashcards, as well. All you have to do is click on the “Create Tests & Flashcards” icon, and you will then be directed to the Learning Tools flashcards builder. You can first name the set of flashcards you plan to create, and then you will be directed to the flashcards template.
Each template offers an empty space for you to input a question, correct answer, and several additional multiple choice answers to add to the answer choices. The flashcards maker also has a space where you can write a brief explanation as to why the answer is correct, and this gives you a great place to write down any important info you need to help remind you of the steps to take when solving the equation.
Use the Varsity Tutors' Learning Tools Flashcards and those you may make yourself with the flashcards creator to squeeze in some important PSAT Math review whenever you have a few minutes to spare to feel more confident on the big day!
Our PSAT Math flashcards each contain one question that might appear on the Math section of the PSAT. You can use them to get a comprehensive overview of each topic covered on the Math section of the PSAT one problem at a time, or to do problem drills that focus on particular problem types or content areas found on the Math section of the PSAT.
