I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Brooke

Certified Tutor

I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, a M.S. in Teacher Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis, and am currently pursuing a PhD in school-based psychology. With over a decade of experience, I now focus on supporting teenagers, college students, and adult learners; especially those with ADHD or trouble managing academic demands, athletics, jobs, or learning differences.

I specialize in executive functioning coaching, academic support, and standardized test prep. I work best with students who are struggling to stay organized, meet deadlines, or manage the mental load of high school, college, or big transitions. I offer clear, actionable strategies in a supportive, energetic, and judgment-free space.

I'm especially helpful for high school students preparing for the SAT/ACT, planning out dream schools, managing college applications, and staying on top of the chaotic demands of junior and senior year. This extends to undergraduates planning for graduate school and taking the GRE. I work closely with students on building long-term routines for academic and personal success.

As someone with ADHD and years of academic experience (both as a student and a coach), I know firsthand how tough it can be to stay on track. My goal is to help students build systems that work for them and to grow the confidence that comes from finally feeling in control.

If your student is bright and capable but disorganized, discouraged, or just needs help getting it together - I'm ready to jump in.

Hobbies

Outside of academia, I am deeply passionate about creative writing, mindfulness, and outdoor activities. I find that writing not only nurtures my own creativity but also enhances my ability to help students express themselves more clearly. I also enjoy hiking and spending time in nature, which helps me stay grounded and refreshed. However, I am also obsessed with quality music, television, and movies!
