This past May 2024, I graduated with my Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. In 2020, I graduated magna cum laude with my B.S. in industrial engineering and minors in chemistry and Italian from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering.
I've wanted to be a dentist since I was eight years old! I'm currently in a General Practice Residency in Washington, DC.
During my undergraduate years, I accumulated 142 credits over eight semesters, all while participating in extracurricular activities and publishing my own children's book. I believe in strong time management and prioritizing and knowing when you have to ask for help. Most importantly, I believe in the importance of asking questions, because asking questions makes you a better learner!
I am a proud lifetime Girl Scout, and during my collegiate years, I was involved with the marching band (I play the trumpet!) as well as president of our school's student-ambassador group. In addition, I was in a service sorority, a leadership fraternity, and I was on a full-tuition leadership co-curricular scholarship. There are learning opportunities all around us in every activity we participate in - so much of my learning has occurred outside of the classroom!
I have been tutoring and helping my peers since high school. I have experience as a nanny and babysitter, and am comfortable working with young children as well as teenagers and college students! In dental school I served as a peer tutor during my second, third and fourth years and earned the Academic Career Track Area of Concentration Certificate.
I love learning and want to share my passion with you. Math has been my favorite subject for my entire life, and my industrial engineering degree has given me so much math practice; I've earned As in calculus 1 and 2, probability, statistics, and differential equations in college! I am willing to talk with both the student and the parent so that we can team-build a successful learning space for each student. I want to be an effective teacher, and I will adapt accordingly to each student because no two students learn the same.
