I have always been enthusiastic about all things math, since I was a little girl. So, I knew I would want to work with numbers in some way, after college. I earned a bachelor's degree in finance from SIUC, and then ended up working I'm the funeral industry, ironically enough. After more than 10 years, I moved back home and taught Algebra 1 and Geometry, full time, for 2 years. Then I decided to move into the tutoring arena. I love tutoring math of all ages, but especially Pre-Algebra and above. My hope is that through my ability to change my teaching methods to fit the students learning style, as well as being a more relatable and reasonable math person, I can really "coach" you through your math struggles, and pass along some of my enthusiasm for to each of my students.
When I'm not solving people's math problems, I enjoy running and biking outdoors, cooking, baking, singing, dancing, and hanging out with family and friends.
