Certified Tutor

My name is Abby! I have obtained a Bachelor's in Physics and an Associate's in Mathematics, and am very passionate about these subjects. I have a strong passion for tutoring in these specific subjects because I believe that they can be accessible to everyone.

I think the key enjoying math and physics is a good, passionate teacher, as that is what it took for me to hold the same level of passion, and I will enjoy helping students learn to love them as well!

I have eight months of experience in math tutoring in my local college's veteran's center, where I tutored introductory math, up to Algebra I, II, and Calculus II.

My ultimate goal is to help students understand and even find some level of joy in subjects that are stereotypically more challenging, so I will always welcome supplementary questions and materials that parents and students may feel necessary to provide. As a high school student, math was not my favorite subject; I never truly enjoyed it until I began enrolling in math courses at my local college, and I realized how enjoyable it could be when taught by someone who truly loved it. This is when I decided to obtain my A.S. in mathematics, and I now want to give that same enjoyment to students who may have similar feelings. Aside from my math qualifications, I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics. This has equipped me with over 31 credit hours of physics specialization, including algebraic and calculus-based physics instruction.
