I have enjoyed communicating, teaching, and learning for my entire life. Since I was in preschool, I've had an insatiable desire to learn math, science, and musicsomething that has continued to this day!

Music and math are two of my deepest passions, so much that I went to school for them! I got my bachelor's degree in mathematics from Harvard University, with a minor in music. While at Harvard, I dove deeply into abstract mathematicsin addition to taking more than a dozen math classes, I also served as a student teacher for advanced undergraduate and beginning graduate-level courses! These experiences were so enjoyable to me, as I love explaining the concepts and ideas that pique my curiosity.

As a musician, I am pursuing a career as an orchestral conductor and I've spent over a decade playing bassoon in orchestras and chamber music groups. To me, conducting is to music what teaching is to math: I get to guide people's understanding and enjoyment of the music through intimate interpersonal communication! It is endlessly fun and rewarding.
