Certified Tutor

I am a college student at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. I am working towards a double bachelor's degree in English and Spanish, and I am very passionate about both of these subjects. I am easygoing and I like to make tutoring fun and interesting for the students. I love to help students find something they are passionate about within the subject area, whether it be Spanish music or graphic novels/literature. In the past, I have tutored students from ages 5 to 20, and I am generally very comfortable teaching within that age range.
I tutor all levels of English and most levels of Spanish, and I have an extensive understanding of the English portion of the SAT as well as the Subject Test. I have also taken multiple AP tests, and I am familiar with the format. I am a very strong writer, especially academically, and I have a keen eye for grammar and written language. I love to learn, and I love having fun with education. In my spare time, I like to hike, play the piano, read, and explore the outdoors.

I love the outdoors, and I have a passion for identifying, pressing, and making art from wildflowers and native plants. I am also a classically trained pianist, and I love music. My favorite authors are Virginia Woolf and Annie Dillard, and I really love reading and writing short stories.
