Certified Tutor

I have just begun interning for The Department of State in Washington, DC, so I relocated to the DMV area as I finish my last semester at Penn State Schreyer Honors College online. In May 2015, I will receive two Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Politics and French with minors in Geography and International Studies; completing my honors thesis in Geopolitics. Although I approach most subjects with enthusiasm, I have always been especially passionate about the humanities. Back in University Park, I tutored students in English, French, ESL, and I was the teacher's assistant for three years for Geography 495B, a cultural geography course. I also worked at the CIU-10 Development Center for Adults, where I taught lessons in geography, English (reading/writing), and test preparation. I spent the first half of 2014 in Montpellier, France, where I attended Université Paul Valéry III. Thanks to a structured formal education and a lot of intrinsic desire to learn, I now speak French with native fluency.I am a great tutor because I am very patient, enthusiastic, logical, and intuitive as the needs of my students. My hobbies include practicing yoga, singing, laughing, reading, shopping, and creating art projects.
