My High School Adventure by Tiffany - February 2017 Scholarship Essay
My career in high school is very extraordinary. My freshman and sophomore year I was a C-average student. In those years, I did not care as much as I should have, I didn't listen to anybody when they said "your grades will matter." I was rude to the teachers and did not give them the respect they needed. In result, I received two D's, one in Spanish II and the other in English I.
My junior year something kicked into me and I realized I needed to start doing my best. My first semester of my junior year I received all B's with one C. My second semester I received mostly B's with some A's. To make up the D's I received my freshmen and sophomore year, I retook the classes my first semester into my senior year. Finally, as my senior year is coming to an end, I have straight A's and have really learned the importance of my grades. I went from my grade point average being a 2.0 to a 3.2, and it will continue going up.
When I started my high school adventure, I always thought I would go to a technical school, because I wasn't smart enough for a college. Now, I plan on going to college and receiving my doctorate in physical therapy.
I look at this as a failure in my life because I didn't work up to my potential, and didn't put forth my full ability in my schooling. I have improved massively in my high school career. I learned my lesson, considering I had an overloaded schedule at the beginning of my senior year with taking two classes over again. I wish to tell every freshman about my adventures in high school, so they can start sooner than I did.
