Most Valuable Lesson in HS by Thomas - November 2013 Scholarship Essay

There are many lessons that can be learned in high school. I'm a senior in high school and I'm still learning new lessons. Everyday you will learn something new. The most valuable lesson I have learned is to look forward to the future.

My most valuable lesson is looking forward to the future because that is what you have to do in high school sometimes. In the four years of your high school career, you will have people or days that just irritate you. When all this happens you can't let it get to you, you have to look forward to the next day, week, or so. If there is someone that bothers you or a teacher, just think that the next day will be better or that eventually you won't have to deal with them anymore. If you screw up grades in a class, just shake it off and think that the next day is a fresh start again. If you play sports and you have a bad day, well there's always tomorrow. You can't succeed at something if you keep dwelling on the past.

In conclusion, you can't dwell on anything. If you dwell on something, you wont be able to move on and you will keep on having bad days. Don't let the things that irritate you to get to you.
