With any aspiring student, college success is a major goal. Success in college however, depends on the type of person the student wants to be. Sitting back and doing the bare minimum, waiting for things to just happen will not result in high ranking success. Going after and fighting to achieve goals is what is necessary to be successful.

College is supposed to be the best four years of a person's life. You get to make new friends, be independent, and choose the career path you want to take. However, all this newfound freedom may get in the way of the one common goal; success. Leadership skills are necessary at this time. Being a leader and proving to everyone; teachers, students, and friends, that you can overcome the temptations of freedom and still follow your goal will lead to success. However, leadership does not always mean taking charge and being controlling. Being a leader is being an example for others, working hard, and taking charge of yourself. Individual leadership not group leadership is what is necessary for college success. This success however is not only helpful in school but outside of school as well.

Being successful in college is a primary goal that many people have in order to achieve success outside of school. Jobs look for individuals who stand out and show that they can get the work done. Leadership skills are one trait many people look for. This trait is so highly desired by employers because it shows the determination for success. Being a leader proves that hard work and the will to succeed leads to success. Being successful in the career of choice is every person's main goal. This proves that leadership skills are necessary for college success but also for the rewards outside of school as well.

Being a leader is someone who has the ability to make a change. Whether this change is something small or something that could change the world. Having the ability to be a leader will help anyone succeed in college. In order to be able to succeed in college you need the determination and ability to make a change. Without these crucial leadership skills, the chances of achieving success in college are nearly impossible. Leadership skills are necessary for college success because in college, determination and hard work are key for success in college.
