My dream class room by September - July 2020 Scholarship Essay

A room full of inspiration and eagerness. I know that may be a pretty vague way to start this off but if someone were to ask me directly what would make my dream classroom, those words would instantly fly out of my mouth. Typically when people think of the setting of a classroom, they envision a group of students being lectured by a teacher and ideally they learn from that lecture. However, to me it's way deeper than that.

Being in a room where there is nothing but eagerness and inspiration is extremely important to me because it gives everyone the chance to thrive off of one another. Obviously it is not a necessity that others must posses these traits in order to be successful but I do feel that those traits are pretty important. There's nothing like being in a classroom where although everyone may have their own goals and ambitions, they will still want each and other person to succeed. A great classroom setting is more than just the teacher being a good teacher. Each and everyone in that classroom matters and has a purpose whether they are aware of it or not.

I see myself excelling in this type of classroom because I would constantly feel encouraged. It's one thing to have a support system with your family, but to have one with your peers that you spend most of your time with throughout the day is truly amazing. Aside from that, seeing everyone motivated to want to do good would also help me excel in school. I say this because I would always find myself being inspired by them even if the two of us are working towards two completely different paths in life. Seeing them work so hard for what they want will make me think to myself, "I want to be like them" or "I like their passion and I see how their hard work is paying off. Maybe I can be like them". Maybe it could also be the other way around with some of my peers.

In brief, being surrounded by people who are often inspired and eager to learn would be my dream classroom. My perfect classroom is deeper than just learning a subject and moving on. Being inspired and being able to inspire is the biggest thing to me. It's not solely up to the teachers to only teach and the students only learn.
