My generation has usually been the one to get criticized for how much we use technology. I hear almost every day jokes about if we even know what pen and paper is. I understand that times have changed and today's technology is extremely different than what it was 60 or 70 years ago. My generation is not at fault, we are simply changing with the times. We have so many resources because of how advanced our tech is. School's are able to give students chrome books and i-pads to take home for homework and projects. We can work together on the same document without being in the same room. The way we can positively use technology to our advantage and use it as a resource is extremely rewarding, especially in the classroom.
There will always be a negative and a positive in everything, but in my opinion there are more positive outcomes of using technology in the classroom,than negative. I see my teachers using tech every day, the projectors, computers, and i-pads. My teachers are able to notify a whole class at a time if a due date is coming up or a new project is assigned. If I miss a day of school, i'm able to go onto my classrooms website and catch up on my own, rather than falling behind. I'm glad my generation is using this as a resource, it helps with so much, even outside of school. The only way other people will become comfortable with how much technology is around us, is when they understand it.
