Five years ago I was eleven years old. Many young children believe they have everything in their life put together, they’re on top of the world avoiding all the problems of the world. But as the years go on, you realize how much you really don’t know. You start approaching life as a problem solver and working hard to just keep walking through. Kids at that age may not listen to any suggestions given to them, but may only brush them away. But in some way a little bit of those comments may stick in their head and have an impact on their life.
If I were to go back and tell my eleven year old self advice, it would be to push through no matter how hard it gets. Problems will be thrown your way, times will get hard, there will be times to cry, but those are all small drops of water in a huge ocean. The work that you do in the moment does have an impact on the larger picture that is your life. Once you figure out a strategy to solve an easy problem, it can be tweaked to solve larger and larger problems as you get older and older. If I had strived for my full potential five years ago, I could be unstoppable today.
