A Educational New Years Resolution by Salvador - December 2020 Scholarship Essay

New year resolutions, we know them all to well, however we know how we typically decide on one and we find ourselves already forgotten about it or not being able to keep up with it. But now that I’m closing in into the homestretch of my senior year it is important to have a new year resolution towards my education. This new year resolution for the upcoming year 2021 would be to graduate high school and move onto college.
Graduating high school is a very big deal and a very important deal too and moving on to college after is a even more big deal. In todays age education is very important and a big factor on if you are successful in life or not. Me myself used to think education wasn’t all that important but as you grow up you start to realize that even with a high school diploma there wont be as many options as compared to someone with a degree. This is why it’s a smart move to go to college after getting your diploma and not just settling for a diploma instead of going even further and getting a degree.
We all know that keeping a new year resolution can be hard and challenging but I plan on doing this by doing everything I can. By this I mean any chance I get to improve id take it for example if there is tutoring or an assignment for extra work id take it without hesitating. Another thing is to make it to college to apply to every scholarship I can, so that I am able to make it to college without having to worry about how its going to get paid.
We all make our own new year resolutions but now in this time for me it is very important to have a new year resolution aimed towards my education. To graduate high school and move on to college, it may sound easy to accomplish for some people but I am willing to take on this challenge if it means I can get a better future
