There are many reasons why people believe education is important. For me, I think that the purpose of education is to learn about how things work. In life, there are many things that people do not know how to do. Education helps people figure out what to do in these cases. Although at times people can learn from experience, education can take away the pain of going through these experiences.

There are many things in life that people do not know how to do. For example, I do not know how to build a rocket. However, there are some little things that people may not even know. Some people may not know how to grow food. Other people may not know how to use a computer properly.

Education helps people learn how to do these things. When someone is educated in math, they learn tools that can assist them in doing things. People probably will not learn how to build a rocket in High School. That is why people need to further their education once they know what they want to do with life. Education, whether it be general education in high school or specific education in college, is how people learn how to do productive things in life.

Without education, people would not know, they would only go off of instinct.

Some lessons are best learned through experience. However, education can help make the pain of these experiences much easier to bear. For example, someone needs to drive a car before they truly can say they know how to drive a car. Drivers Ed, however, can help ensure that the person knows what to do before the experience, avoiding a lot of pain in the long run.

Education has a very vital purpose in our life. Often times, people mistake it and call it useless, unnecessary, or a waste of time. All of these things are wrong, as education is the way we learn to go ahead in life.

I do not believe education is used to change people. I think that education is to inform them and to help assist them in their life. Overall, I believe the purpose of education is to learn.
